👣 Two Are Better Than One! 💙

This morning, Pastor Ray gave our students a hands-on reminder of an important truth from Ecclesiastes 4:9–10: “Two are better than one.”

Students were blindfolded and challenged to make their way through an obstacle course—but they didn’t have to do it alone. A friend was there to guide them, give them directions, and help them safely navigate each challenge. 👀➡️🙈

It was a fun activity, but it carried a meaningful lesson: we weren’t created to walk through life alone. God gives us friends, family, and our church community to encourage us, guide us, and help us when the path isn’t clear.

What a great reminder for the start of a new school year—to look out for one another, trust those who are guiding us, and be the kind of friend who helps others along the way. 💙

September is a month to celebrate some very special members of our BME family! 💙 We are so thankful for each of these students and the joy, kindness, and unique gifts they bring to our school.

⚾💙 Growing More Than Baseball Skills! 💙⚾

This year, our students have had the opportunity to learn and enjoy baseball thanks to Mr. Luis Andino, who generously volunteers his time to work with our students!

From learning the basics to practicing new skills, Mr. Andino has been helping our students get active, have fun, and develop a love for the game. And while these pictures feature some of our younger students, he’s been working with students throughout the school! 🙌

We are so grateful for volunteers like Mr. Andino who share their time, talents, and enthusiasm with our students. Thank you for investing in our BME family! 💙⚾

🔬🍬 Science just got a little sweeter! 🍬🔬

Our 6th–8th grade students have been learning about scientific classification and how scientists categorize the incredible variety of animals God created. Today, they got to put those skills to the test—with candy! 😋

Students sorted and categorized their sweet treats while practicing the same skills scientists use to organize and understand the world around us.

It was a sweet way to learn about taxonomy! 😂🍭

We love finding creative ways to help our students see the order, variety, and creativity God has woven throughout His creation. What a fun reminder that learning can happen in some pretty unexpected—and delicious—ways! ❤️🌎

🥕🌱 Learning About Healthy Living! 🌱🥕

Last week, Mrs. Loñoza’s class explored vegetation and the important role plants play in our lives, with a special focus on vegetables! 🥦🥕🌽 They also talked about the importance of exercise and how taking care of our bodies helps us stay healthy and strong. 💪

To put their learning into practice, the students had a fun challenge: bring in their favorite vegetable for snack! 🥒🍅🥕

We love seeing our students learn about healthy choices in fun, hands-on ways! 💙🌱

🙏💙 A reminder for tonight! 💙🙏

Tonight we’ll come together to pause, pray, and dedicate this new school year to God. We’ll spend some time walking through our school in prayer, lifting up our students, teachers, families, and the year ahead.

Following the prayer walk, we’ll gather around the fire for vespers and fellowship. 🔥

🎶 The McCall family will lead us in a few songs, and Mr. Luis Andino will share our vespers message.

And then we’ll enjoy some time around the campfire together! 🔥🍫 Bring a chair and your favorite s’mores supplies to share.

💙🌱 Big adventures start small! 🌱💙

At Blue Mountain SDA Elementary, our Preschool/Pre-K program gives little learners a place to explore, create, make friends, and grow in a loving, Christ-centered environment.

Starting at age 3, our program offers hands-on learning, creative activities, plenty of opportunities to play and discover, and a foundation built on God’s love. ✨

📚💙 First Day at BME: Middle School Is Back! 💙📚

Did you catch our Preschool through 5th grade students in our last post? They weren’t the only ones starting a new school year! 😉

Today we welcomed all of our BME students back, and now it’s time to celebrate our 6th through 8th grade students! 🎉

Middle school brings its own set of adventures, challenges, friendships, and opportunities to grow. We’re excited to watch these students continue developing their knowledge, confidence, character, and faith as they take on another year together.

These students bring so much personality and energy to our school, and we’re grateful for each one of them! 💙
