HIGH SCHOOL BAND:

We have our first away game at Dumas tomorrow!

Uniform: Black T shirt and bibbers/ Black shoes
Call Time/Dinner: Pizza @ 4:30 PM
Load Bus/Leave Band Hall: 5:15 PM

We will have a trailer taken to Dumas! Please thank Mr. Eddie Tucker, our wonderful principal and Hamburg Band alumni for driving the trailer for us to put all our instruments on.

We will arrive back at the band hall around 11 pm! A parent square/facebook message will be sent out as we leave Dumas, and I will remind students to message whoever is picking them up as well. All music will need to be in flip folders. Let's make this a good first game!

Band pictures have been rescheduled for THIS WEDNESDAY during class!

From 1:15-2:25, we will be taking pictures on the football field!

Don’t forget your black marching shoes! (It’s fine if Freshman don’t have them yet, just wear the darkest shoes you have)

SENIORS: 8 AM this morning!! Be ready for your band pictures! The band hall will be open by 7:40 for you.

Full Band: we will take Band Pictures from 2-3 PM.
We will get ready as soon as you get to the band hall. Make sure you’re ready with makeup/hair before class! We’ll only have 25 minutes to get uniforms on!
We will take the pictures behind the bleachers at the football field.

Beginner Band Parents/Guardians!

Arkansas School Band Service is coming to our Band Hall next Thursday, August 6th!

Your student will be able to rent-to-own their own instrument for a monthly payment! A representative will tell you all about how it works, and the many benefits of it including the best instrument you could buy for your student!
Your student will be able to try out any instrument we offer in the band!

This will be from 3:30-6 pm next Thursday. See you there!

Seniors will take photos at 8 am and the band will take photos during class. We will get fitted for our uniforms Wednesday!

High School Band Members!

Please make sure you bring your physicals as you arrive to band camp. You can stop by the band hall this Tuesday, July 14th any time from 8am-12pm, or on the first full day of band camp. YOU MUST HAVE THIS TURNED IN TO MARCH OUTSIDE.

It is also HOT this summer!! We will try to minimize the amount of time we're out in the blazing heat, hence practicing in the morning, but you can prepare for the heat!
- Walk or do activities outside to get used to the sun.
- DRINK WATER- 2-4 water bottles a day EVERY DAY from TODAY until November!!! (Non-negotiable)
- Wear 30 or over SPF!! Do not get bad sunburns and protect your skin! Wear hats/sunscreen for your scalp!!

This WILL keep you from needing constant breaks in the heat or feeling light headed in the sun. Water water water!

Incoming Beginner Band Parents:

Please come by the band hall today! We are doing instrument try-outs for Beginner Band students until 6 pm! If you are not able to come today, an available school instrument will be provided for your student to play on the first day of school come July 29th.

Instrument choices are limited due to school resources, so it's first come first serve!

Please send this to anyone you know to be signed up for Beginner Band!! It's imperative to their experience!

Hamburg High School Band Camp is next month!

The final dates are July 14-17th.

On the 14th, only incoming freshman and section leaders will attend.
July 14th:
Section leaders will be 8 am- 12 pm.
Incoming 9th graders will attend from 9 am-12 pm.

July 15th-17th:
All band members will attend Band Camp from 8 am- 1:30 pm.
