Hamburg School District has been made aware of a texting trend involving messages being sent to students that appear to be “compliments.” We have also received messages indicating that some people may believe these messages are coming from or are affiliated with Hamburg School District.

They are NOT.

The Hamburg School District is not sending these messages, is not affiliated with this texting trend, and has not authorized anyone to contact students on behalf of the district regarding this matter.

We encourage parents and guardians to be aware of any unsolicited messages their children may receive and to use caution when responding to unknown numbers or individuals.

More details about the reported trend are available in this news article by KARK.

Please help us share this information so our families are aware. 💜🦁

A texting trend sending "compliments" to students has prompted warnings from at least one Arkansas school district after families reported the messages to administrators. More details through the 🔗 in comments.

🔬 The Future of Healthcare is in Their Hands! 🩺

Introduction to Healthcare students became healthcare investigators as they explored emerging technologies that are changing the future of patient care!

Working in teams, students researched topics such as AI in healthcare, robotic surgery, gene editing, bionic prosthetics, xenotransplantation, and 3D bioprinting. They analyzed evidence, considered benefits and limitations, and discussed the human impact these innovations could have on patients and healthcare professionals.

Students then put their learning into action by creating Future of Healthcare Briefing Boards and participating in a gallery walk to learn from one another.

This wasn't just about learning what new technology can do. Students had to read critically, use evidence, communicate their thinking, collaborate, and consider an important question: What should the future of healthcare look like?

💜 We may have some future healthcare professionals sitting in our classroom today!

Mrs. Destiny’s Design & Modeling classes are in Week 2 of an exciting hands-on engineering challenge! Students are currently designing and building a custom foot orthotic while working within specific design requirements and using only the materials provided. This project is challenging students to think creatively, solve problems, test their ideas, and make thoughtful design decisions.
Next week, students will shift from designing and building to developing their presentations, where they will showcase their final products, explain their design process, and share the thinking behind their solutions.

🧪 Chemistry in Action at HHS! 🔬

Our AP Chemistry students are putting their problem-solving skills to work as they solve for the number of moles in a hydrate and determine the formula units of Copper (II) Chloride.

Hands-on learning, calculations, and a little chemistry magic all come together as our students explore the world of chemical compounds! ⚗️📚

We’re proud to see our Lions learning, calculating, and ROARING in AP Chemistry! 💜🦁
