📚✨ Have you heard of the **1,000 Books Before Kindergarten** challenge?

We wanted to share this FREE opportunity through Daniel Boone Regional Library that encourages families to read together from birth through age 5!

The goal sounds big… but it adds up faster than you think! Reading just one book each day can help your child reach 1,000 books before kindergarten. Even better—favorite books count more than once (because we all know little ones LOVE repetition 💛). Families can track their progress and earn fun incentives along the way.

Reading together helps build:
📖 Early language and literacy skills
🗣️ Vocabulary and communication
❤️ Connection and quality family time
🎓 Kindergarten readiness and a lifelong love of books

If your family decides to participate, we’d love to hear about your child’s favorite books or see photos of your reading adventures in the comments!

Please join us this Wednesday after school to celebrate all of the amazing things our students have accomplished this year! It will be an evening full of games, prizes, and yummy food. We hope to see you there!

Mrs. Prater’s afternoon friends have been working really hard learning all about becoming kindergarteners! Today they became Kindergarten Inspectors and were able to look into a kindergarten classroom, the cafeteria, the computer lab, and were even able to play on the big kindergarten playground! They are definitely excited for kindergarten!

Morning friends took a "vacation" to Jurassic Park today for V day!

All week we’ve talked about being kindergartners and all the new things we will do in kindergarten! Today we became Kindergarten Inspectors! We walked around the school visiting a kindergarten classroom, the cafeteria, music,p.e, art, library, and even computers! We are very excited for kindergarten!
