Mahjong obsessed? Guilty. And don’t get me started, because we WILL be here all night!

I absolutely love everything about this game — teaching it, supporting others as they learn, building community around the table, and, of course, getting to sit down and play myself!

Mahjong has become so much more than a game to me. It’s the people, the friendships, the laughter, and the community that happens when we all pull up a chair.

A NEW STUDY JUST DROPPED.

And the results are VERY good news for you.

According to a completely legitimate survey that I definitely did not just make up, people who regularly read The Mahj Collective posts are:

🧠 37% smarter
😂 62% happier
🀄 84% better at Mahjong
💅 93% more fun at the table
✨ 100% more likely to yell “WAIT—I CAN CALL THAT!” three seconds too late.

The data doesn’t lie, people.

Following The Mahj Collective is basically self-improvement.

You’re welcome.

Survey conducted by me. Sample size: also me. Results have not been reviewed by anyone remotely qualified.

Apparently rolling the dice to see who gets East is no longer enough.

At Open Play, we settle things the old-fashioned way…

💪 ARM WRESTLING.

Winner gets East. Loser gets a sore arm.

Just another perfectly normal night with The Mahj Collective.

Come for the mahjong. Stay for the questionable ways we make decisions.

Join us for our next Open Play at Vida Cafe & Market on October 8th!
