Vysehrad ISD Announces Lisa Berckenhoff as Lone Finalist for Superintendent of School.
The search, led by Dr. Darrell Floyd and conducted in collaboration with the Vysehrad ISD Board of Trustees, focused on identifying a leader whose experience, commitment to students and educators, leadership philosophy, and understanding of the unique needs of a rural school district aligned with the priorities and vision of the Vysehrad
community.
Berckenhoff brings 32 years of experience in public education, including 11 years of service as Superintendent of Ezzell
Independent School District. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to instructional excellence, effective district operations, sound financial management, community engagement, and the success of
students and staff.
Her extensive experience as a superintendent provides her with a comprehensive understanding of the responsibilities associated with leading a public school district. Her background includes working closely with boards of trustees, administrators, teachers, staff members, parents, and community stakeholders to establish priorities and create opportunities for students.
The Vysehrad ISD Board of Trustees believes Berckenhoff's experience and leadership will position her well to build
upon the district's strengths while working collaboratively with the Board, staff, families, and community to guide
Vysehrad ISD into the future.
Under Texas law, a school district must observe a 21-day waiting period after naming a Lone Finalist before the Board
may vote to employ the finalist as superintendent. Following completion of the required waiting period, the Vysehrad ISD Board of Trustees is expected to consider final action regarding Berckenhoff's employment.
