🎶 Waiting on a Wish… and building a voice, one phrase at a time. ✨
Joya and I have been working together for just one month, and we’ve already taken on quite a challenge!
She has a beautiful natural voice, a wonderful musical ear, and so much potential. ❤️
Right now, we’re focusing on the little details that make a big difference — phrasing, vocal placement, vowel shaping, tone quality, and developing a more expressive, balanced vocal technique.
Sometimes we spend an entire lesson exploring just a few phrases. And that’s exactly how real progress happens.

I’m so proud of her dedication, and I truly believe this is just the beginning of something special.

One note. One phrase. One step at a time. 🎶❤️

Today I saw the wonderful news that Valeria won a competition in China, and it immediately took me back to this video. ❤️

This was Valeria in 2022, when she was living in the U.S. and studying with me.

Watching it again today feels extra special. Even back then, she had that beautiful spark, musicality, and love for performing — and it makes me so happy to see how far her journey has taken her. ✨

Yesterday, Monica and I started working on “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes.” 🎶✨

We chose this song to focus on some of the most important elements of expressive singing — phrasing, legato, dynamics, and musical nuance.

These are the details that go beyond simply singing the correct notes. A young singer needs to understand and feel the musical phrase — where it begins, where it is going, how the sound should flow, and how subtle changes in dynamics and expression can bring the music to life.

I’m so proud of how beautifully Monica connected with the song and applied everything we worked on. ❤️

Sometimes life brings people back to us in the most unexpected ways. 🤍🎶

In the first video, Leila is just 4–5 years old, dancing with my son Matthew at their preschool graduation show. 🥹❤️

And now, years later… Leila is 10, and she walked into my studio to begin her vocal journey with me. 🎤✨

Back then, I could never have imagined that our paths would cross again — or that one day I would have the privilege of being her vocal coach.

From dancing with my little boy on a preschool stage… to making music together at Vocal Studio Sofamia years later. 🎶🤍

Some moments really do come full circle. ✨

A beautiful first music lesson with 4-year-old Sophie! 🎹🎶🔔

Today we explored the piano, discovered the white and black keys, played notes one finger at a time, sang together, and added colorful bells to make learning even more fun. ✨

At this age, music lessons are all about learning through play — developing listening skills, rhythm, coordination, musical confidence, and a natural love for music. 💛
