Happy 9 Year Anniversary, Miss Kayla!

We are so excited to celebrate an amazing teacher, mom, and friend, Miss Kayla, on 9 years with The Magical Years family!

For 9 years she has shown up for our infant room with so much heart and dedication. The love and patience she gives our infants (and their families) does not go unnoticed, and honestly the laughter she brings to this center is unmatched.

Thank you for everything you pour into our babies and our Magical Years family. We are so lucky to have you. Here's to 9 years and so many more 🥳💕

Words can’t describe the fun we had, the smiles we shared, and the development that continued to take place! We feel so lucky we got to spend our days with these children, and look forward to a successful school year ahead! ⭐️

When children create spray art outside, they’re learning through sensory exploration, movement, and creativity.

🎨 Creativity & self-expression: They experiment with colors, patterns, and making their own marks.
💪 Fine-motor skills: Squeezing spray bottles strengthens the small muscles in their hands and fingers and builds hand-eye coordination.
🧠 Cause and effect: They discover that squeezing the bottle makes water or paint spray, and that changing the distance or angle changes the result.
👀 Visual learning: They observe how colors appear, overlap, mix, and spread across different surfaces.
🌈 Early science concepts: They explore ideas such as water, absorption, pressure, movement, and color mixing.
🏃 Gross-motor development: Outdoor spray painting encourages reaching, bending, squatting, and moving around while creating.

Summer may be winding down, but the memories we’ve made will last all year long! 💛 From water play and outdoor adventures to silly smiles, new friendships, creative activities, and plenty of laughter, our summer has been filled with so many special moments.

We hope our children take a little piece of summer with them as we get ready for a new school year. 📚✏️

KINGSTON NIGHT OUT 2026

Tomorrow is our biggest event of the year! The Kingston Police Department invites everybody to come out tomorrow for an evening of fun!

The event is being held at 256 Pembroke Street, Silver Lake Regional Middle School, from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. As always, this is free for everyone.

There will be plenty of first responder vehicles to enjoy, K-9 demonstrations, bouncy houses, face painting, pony rides, music, and free food! Please use the front lots for parking.

Bring your excitement and appetite! We are looking forward to seeing everybody tomorrow.

“𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤!"

That's the golden nugget one of our brilliant students dropped on us this week — and honestly? They weren't wrong.

We saw it in action everywhere:
🧩 At center time, when partners worked together to solve a tricky problem
🍎 At lunch, sharing stories and cleaning up as a crew
📚 During group projects, where every voice mattered
🤝 On the playground, cheering each other on

And then this week, we had a very special visitor — a professional soccer player came in to give the kids a soccer lesson! ⚽✨

But honestly, the real ᗰᗩGIᑕ wasn't just the fancy footwork — it was watching our students cheer each other on, help their teammates up, and celebrate every single goal (even the near-misses) like it was the World Cup. 🏆

Big or small, on the field or in the classroom — teamwork really does make the dream work. Proud of our students every single day. 💛
