🦋 Budding Naturalists: Cloverbud Day Camp
We are playing catch up and finally showing off all the fun we’ve had this summer!
Week 2: Participants learned all about birds! They read a fun book and heard different bird songs, leaned about their different parts and the different type of nests birds can have, worked together to build their own nests, and made their own bird feeders to take home.
Week 3: Participants discovered animal camouflage! They read a fun book, did a camouflage coloring page, and made their own animal masks. We ended the lesson with a fun scavenger hunt on the nature trail.
Week 4: This week was all about reptiles and amphibians! They played a fun “eat like a frog” game, listened to different frog calls, did a fun “snake snap” activity, and made their own accordion snakes to take home. It rained this week so unfortunately no nature walk!
Week 5: For their last lesson, they put on their imagination hats and discovered the Wonders of Winter! They made and decorated their own snowflakes after seeing what real ones looked like under a microscope, talked all about winter animals, and even made their very own winter slime to take home.
This camp was such a blast and all of the participants had such a good time learning and discovering nature!
