Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital recently made a donation to the Healthy Harvest Community Garden. They use a sustainable model to grow and distribute produce for those who otherwise may not have access to affordable, nutritious food. Halifax County Virginia Cooperative Extension employees were happy to be able to give back to our community this holiday season by "adopting" two children in need and providing Christmas presents for them. It was such an honor for our employees to be able to provide to a family in need.

Healthy Harvest Community Garden Spring, Summer, and Fall 2021 Produce has reach 5,267 lbs. of produce and has distribution has reach over 5,000 in need households. And still harvesting produce from the Fall garden season.

**ATTENTION HORSE LOVERS**

Our brand-new Trailblazers Horse Club will have it's first meeting on Thursday April 1! During this meeting participants will learn more about the goals and objectives of Trailblazers, as well as share ideas for the future! Meeting location TBA, so stay tuned for that.
