"Calling all local gardeners and orchard owners.

Our Pine Eagle Home Economics students are getting ready to start the year with kitchen basics and then go right into our annual food preservation unit. We’re focusing on specific hands-on techniques this season, so we are actively looking for small-to-moderate donations of:

Fruit (apples, berries, pears, plums, etc., for jams and drying)

Pickling cucumbers, dill, and asparagus. (for our pickling unit)

To ensure we can process everything while it's fresh and cover all our lessons, we’re keeping batch sizes manageable, so even a small crate or excess basket from your yard makes a huge difference.

If you have a bit of excess fruit or pickling cucumbers to share, please send me an email at [email protected] before dropping off so we can double-check our current classroom storage and schedule.

Make sure your student-athlete is fully registered and cleared to participate. Beginning Monday of the second week of practice, athletes who are not registered and cleared will not be eligible to participate.
