Half Moon Bay High School Boys Soccer HMBHS Boys soccer team, defending CCS champions, will have a challenging year full of great soccer.

Both the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams will be competitive this year. Many returning players for Varsity although they lost some valuable players to graduation and academies. JV should have a great year, several players who have played together for many years make the core of the team. We have instituted a tutoring program for players as well as a college night. Coach Jeff Turgeon continues to grow the program for more years of successful Cougar soccer.

The HMBHS Boys soccer team has completed the first week of tryouts. There is a lot of talent on the pitch, should be an exciting year. Schedule to be posted soon along with player info/rosters, etc... Come out and watch the Cougars this year.

The boys varsity soccer team suffered their first loss of the season after a 14 game winning streak.
Westmoor outacored the normally strong defense, 4-2.

HMB scored early with a cross from Antonio Vega to Gio Hamilton. The second HMB GOAL Came late in the 2nd half with Michael Whitlatch scoring a header off a freekixk from Mauricio Alvarado.

The cougars remain in 1st place in league with 1 game to go- Senior night this Friday- kick off is at 6pm @ Home. Senior night ceremony starts at 5:30pm

The JV won 1-0 on an unassisted goal by Julian DeJesus. They play again Friday @ 4:30.

The HMBHS boys Varsity soccer team is 8-0 in league outscoring their opponents 23-3.
The JV is 6-0-2 outscoring their opponents 23-4.

Great week for the Varsity Cougars soccer teams this week.
Wednesday they beat El Camino 5-1 with goals from Octavio DeLeon, Damian Gutierrez, Josue Garcia, Gio Hamilton and Michael Whitlatch.

Tonight they capped off the week with a 4-0 win over Capuchino.
Antonio Vega scored 3 and Giovanni Hamilton added the 4th.

The defense played well in both games with Luie Garcia in goal, Mauricio Alvarado, Miguel Aguilar and Alex Broome on the back line.

Cougars finish play in the Homestead tournament tomorrow @ 1:15 @ Homestead high school vs Sobrato.

Congratulations to the Hmbhs boys varsity soccer team on their 1-0 win over Gunn high school tonight in the first game of the Homestead tournament.
The line goal was scored by Ronald Acosta. Strong defensive performances by Senior defender Miguel Acosta and sophomore defender Alex Broome.

Next game is this Thursday at Serra high school with varsity playing @ 2:45 and JV at 4:15pm.
