Green screen fun with 🫧 BUBBLES 🫧

Yesterday was our last STEAM DAY in Kindergarten for this school year! What better way to end by a 🫧“BUBBLE BONANZA” lesson! 🫧
We started our “bubble engineering” today by discussing what bubbles are made of…soap + water + air.
Soap helps trap air by making a thin stretchy film.
We discussed why bubbles are round, and that the shape is a sphere (because it uses the least amount of space. )
We also formed GIANT bubbles using sticks and a rope!
The kids made guesses on why they thought bubbles sometimes pop! (They all had pretty good guesses!)
The oil in our hands cause bubbles to pop! We tested this theory by wearing a sock over our hands. We were able to touch it without it popping!

Students made predictions about whether or not the bubble would be the same shape as our wand (heart…star…flower)
They discovered… ALL bubbles become spheres!
We ended our lesson today with a “BUBBLE BONANZA”CERTIFICATE and had a quick minute to use the green screen and “jump into a bubble!”
