A professional conservatory environment for dance instruction in the Wood River Valley, Idaho. Fun, poise, grace, strength, and skills are stressed.

My staff and I approach class instruction as if each student has the potential to become a dancer, and thus take teaching seriously. It is not our purpose to demand each student become a professional dancer, but encourage them to respect and enjoy dancing, working towards understanding and executing movement to the best of their ability. We provide a graduated curriculum within our dance departmen

ts and strive to provide a base of understanding to the historical connections between the dance forms. Artistry, creativity and aesthetics with educational value is the philosophy we embrace. In addition we provide many performance opportunities when age appropriate. An annual full-length production is produced in May. We hope to bring into your child's life the wonderful world of dance. Last night our dancers had a beautiful "Holiday Spirit" performance with the SV Music Festival Music Institute Sinfonia Pops Orchestra, Ellen Sanders, Conductor. Congrats to Sarah Leidecker, Lizzy Garrison, Anna Wiese, Kaya Eliason, Zoey Kolb and Natalia Simental, with one of their teachers Mackenzie King. Before the show.

Our company dancers had a great weekend working with Kioa Delos Reyes, Artistic Director of Lost Tribe Dance in Rexburg - thank you Kioa for a fabulous new piece of hip hop choreography for our upcoming school enrichment performances that will take place the end of January, 2023.

Our company dancers "hit Boise" this past weekend - Saturday classes with Yurek Hansen, Assoc. Director of IDT (Idaho Dance Theatre) - don't miss their show this weekend at the BSU Spec Center. Then at LED studio - Tap with Brett Perry, TCM class with Tony Carnell. Sunday we were in the gorgeous new Ballet Idaho studio - class with Adrienne Kerr, Principal Dancer and Lydia Sakolsky-Basquill, faculty member and Project Flux director. What an inspiring weekend of dance! Thank you Boise!

Today is National Dance Day! Awareness of the benefits of dance with fitness, wellness of the body-mind and spirit! Our company dancers celebrated with a float in the WRHS Homecoming Parade! Congrats to our 200 + dancers in our school of Footlight Dance Centre and faculty who support each and every one of them to find their passion in dancing.
