Enhancing opportunities for all public school students. Please consider donating to the Blaine County Education Foundation.

The Blaine County Education Foundation (BCEF) raises funds and distributes those funds to the students and educators in the Blaine County School District. The BCEF has four main areas:
1) Can Do Fund to help financially disadvantaged students pay for school sponsored activities.
2) Grants to teachers for project based learning activities and professional development.
3) Can Do Academy to provid

e extracurricular education programs.
4) Scholarships and donor restricted funding administration. Since 1992, the BCEF has aimed to make a direct impact on the teaching and learning experiences of the students and educators of the Blaine County School District through channeling community resources. Approximately 40% of the children in the Blaine County School District are receiving free and reduced meal program.

This year, BCEF filled approximately 360 backpacks with grade-appropriate school supplies for students throughout the Blaine County School District!

A HUGE thank you to our incredible volunteers, including Kiwanis Club of Hailey! We truly could not have done this without you - and you made the process a lot more fun!

We’re also grateful to the Spur Community Foundation for helping us connect with volunteers.

We loved welcoming students from The Space, who joined us to assemble their own backpacks.

A special thank you to The Hunger Coalition, Far + Wise, The Advocates, St. Luke’s, and TogetherWe for helping us connect with local families who could benefit from the program.

And thank you to Cox, the Ketchum-Sun Valley Rotary Club, the Youth Philanthropy Initiative, and all of our generous donors for helping make this year’s Back-to-School Program possible.

It takes a community to make this happen, and ours showed up!

The evening begins with cocktails on the patio before guests enjoy dinner, headline comedy by Heath Harmison, and a live auction featuring one-of-a-kind experiences—all in support of local nonprofits making a difference in our community.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Sun Valley Tour de Force, BCEF has received more than $115,000 over the past several years, helping provide school meals and other essential resources for local students and families.

We’re excited to share that BCEF has been selected as one of the beneficiaries of this year’s Sun Valley Tour de Force Cars & Comedy Fundraiser on Saturday, July 25 at the Limelight Hotel!

This memorable evening includes cocktails on the patio, dinner, a live auction, and comedy from headliner Heath Harmison - all in support of local nonprofits.

After three years of dedicated leadership, BCEF Executive Director Deborah Van Law will be stepping down this fall as she and her husband relocate to Boise to be closer to family.

As we look ahead, BCEF (in Hailey, Idaho) is seeking an experienced, mission-driven Executive Director to lead the organization and advance our work in support of Blaine County School District students in need.

This full-time position oversees fundraising, financial management, staff leadership, community engagement, and strategic planning.
