Team work DOES make the dream work but sometimes you just have to harvest your bananas with a sawzall🤷‍♀️ You could also be a jungle baddie and use a sharp machete! 😁

It’s important to navigate where the tree will land, doing your best to avoid damaging other plants! I decided to cut higher on the trunk and this drop was perfect!
Once you cut the rack, allow the sap to drip and then chop up the trunk to feed your other trees! 🙌🏽 Always clean your tools and enjoy an apple banana or two.

Real-life scratch & sniff! 🌿🙌 Learning how cinnamon grows right from the source during our farm tour. Crushing the fresh leaves was easily the highlight of the day—the scent is absolutely unmatched.

The most delicious buttery avocados, jungle harvest style! All you need is a bucket and a good eye 😉 Most have been split from the fall, but salvageable! I still take the squishy ones, if found in time they will be good for guacamole! 🥑

Jungle Harvest 101! A way to indicate if your cacao is ready to harvest, scratch the pod, if the color underneath is yellow, then it’s ready! Some twist the stem, use a sickle or fruit picker to harvest. We collect our cacao in buckets and then bring back to the main house to process, preparing for fermentation!

Farmer’s perk: Eating the beans raw on the spot! 🙌🏽

If you’ve never tried it, the fresh white pulp is sweet, while the inner bean is deeply bitter and crunchy. It’s packed with live enzymes and blissful energy—definitely eat a few before the fermentation process begins! 😋
