Big Buddies, Little Buddies, BIG Connections! 🧡💙
Every Friday, our Pre-K students get a very special visit from their 5th-grade buddies! From helping with crafts and reading books to simply spending time together, these buddy visits create meaningful connections and friendships that can last for years.

And the friendship doesn’t always end during the school week! In the past, Pre-K students have even cheered on their 5th-grade buddies at sporting events.

This is one of the special things about Valwood, the opportunity to build relationships and create connections across grade levels. From Pre-K to 12th grade, our students truly grow together as a family. 🧡💙

Pre-K Goes on a Valwood Adventure!
Our Pre-K friends enjoyed a fun-filled tour of Valwood School last week! They explored Crane Hall, visited Corker-Giles Library, checked out Rodgers Performance Hall, played on the playground, popped by Eager Sports Center to see the gym, and even stopped by the dining hall. We can’t wait to see all the adventures these little Valiants will have this year! 🎒📚🐾

Learning Statistics—One M&M at a Time!

AP Statistics students recently completed the annual M&M activity, putting their data analysis skills into practice. One of the first concepts students learn in AP Stats is how to display and interpret categorical data. Using M&Ms as their data set, students created and analyzed pie charts and bar charts, turning a sweet treat into a hands-on statistics lesson! Who said learning math couldn’t be fun?

Congratulations, Hobby Houston!

Valwood School is proud to announce junior Hobby Houston as the recipient of the 2026 Vallye Blanton Cheer Team Annual Scholarship!

Established in 2024 through a generous donor-funded gift, this $1,000 annual scholarship recognizes a Valwood varsity cheerleader who demonstrates strong character, a commitment to excellence, and consistent kindness toward others.

We are so proud to celebrate Hobby and all she represents on and off the field!
