On Monday, Valwood alumnus State Patrol Trooper Wade Holton visited our Lower School at the invitation of Pre-K student Thomas Carter. As our Pre-K students learn about the letter P this week, getting an up-close look at the patrol car was a definite highlight!

Thank you, Trooper Holton, for taking the time to visit your alma mater and for your service. We are grateful to all of our community helpers who make such a positive impact!

Alumni Spotlight: Lily Respess, Class of 2022

“My heavy AP course load at Valwood made my first three years at Clemson University a breeze! Within the first few weeks of my marketing and economics degree, I could tell that I was significantly more prepared for college academics than my peers. I already knew how to study, give presentations, communicate professionally with professors, and manage a heavy course load.”

Alumni Spotlight: Will Elliott Class of 2006

“Valwood was a formative part of my education, and I have carried the lessons I learned there into college, my career, and life. The teachers knew me as an individual and pushed me to reach my potential, while the small class sizes created a close-knit, supportive environment. Those same qualities are why my wife and I chose Valwood for our daughter. As a first grader, she is already benefiting from the same personal attention and caring community that shaped me.”

VALDOSTA — Connor Bland and Pearce Persaud dedicated their summer term at Valdosta State University to studying moral injury in the healthcare system and identifying ways to address its contributing factors and help alleviate healthcare workers’ psychological distress.
