Mrs. Withner’s PreK class had so much fun sharing during their special All About Me Show & Tell. Students shared with their friends all the things they love! They also read Spaghetti in a Hot Dog Bun and learned that being different is something to be proud of! And, of course, they couldn’t read about the character’s favorite food without giving it a try themselves!

Science is heating up in 3rd grade! Our 3rd grade students put their learning into action by creating solar ovens out of pizza boxes! As they study heat in science, students explored how energy from the sun can be captured and used to create heat. Thank you, Downhome Pizza for donating the pizza boxes!

It’s Melon Month with Harvest of the Month! 🍉

Our lunchroom ladies decided to put the viral watermelon ice cream trend to the test—and they recruited a few classes to help! 😋

They started with frozen watermelon, and each class experimented with a different creamy ingredient:
🥥 Mrs. Lukens’ class — coconut whipping cream
🥥 Mrs. Ruddles’ class — coconut milk
🥛 Mrs. Dennis’ class — heavy whipping cream

Students mixed and scraped their frozen watermelon creations, and each version turned out with a completely different texture and taste. The verdict? All three were yummy!

What a fun (and delicious!) way to celebrate Melon Month and do a little experimenting along the way!
