After a long day of graduation and graduation parties it is time for our final Senior Shoutout. I really don’t know where to begin for our manager Korynne”NuNu” Conley.

NuNu has been the manager at the varsity level for 4 years. NuNu has been so much more than just a “manager”. She had the ability to make us all laugh no matter how bad the day may have been. From the away game bus rides, her DJ skills, her diss tracks and the energy she brought to the team is something that will never be forgotten. We often told her that she means so much more to this program than she will ever know and there will never be another “NuNu”.

We thank you for all of the memories made over the last 4 years and wish you the very best as you embark on your studies this Fall at Longwood University.

Next up in our Senior Spotlight series is #13 Emma Burgess. Emma has been a 4 year starter in the circle at the varsity level. She leaves WHS racking up a school record 504 strikeouts in her career. We wish Emma the very best as she continues her softball career attending Penn State-Berks in the Fall.

Next up in our Senior Spotlight series is Kahlyn Reeves. Kahlyn has been with the varsity program for 4 years holding it down in right field. Unfortunately, Kahlyn’s season was cut short due to injury but that didn’t stop her from being a leader and continuing to cheer her teammates on. We wish Kahlyn the very best as she continues her academic studies at VCU this fall.

It’s time for our Senior Spotlight series and first up is none other than #4 Morgan Gooch.

Morgan has been a 4 year starter at the varsity level behind the plate. Morgan went above and beyond this year in her leadership role constantly cheering her teammates on, offering advice to the younger girls and bringing energy every game. Morgan’s leadership and dedication will be missed as she heads off this Fall to attend Virginia Tech. We wish you the very best Gooch!!

Congratulations to Morgan Gooch being selected player of the game in today’s contest. Morgan was 3-3 at the plate driving in 1 run, scoring 2 herself and threw out a runner trying to steal 2nd base.
