So good to have Pastor Brumbaugh with us in chapel today!

Our students learned from James 3 about the power of our words and were challenged to ask themselves: Are my words sweet or bitter? 🍫

Pastor Brumbaugh gave us a great reminder using chocolate as an example- Baker’s chocolate and a Hershey bar may both be chocolate, but they sure don’t taste the same! 😄

We were encouraged to make sure our words are~
-Peaceful
-Positive
-Pure

What a great reminder that the words we speak have power, and we should use them to encourage, build up, and point others to Christ!

Our PreK students are learning all about the life cycle of a pumpkin!

They got hands-on with their learning by dissecting a pumpkin and discovering what’s inside! From seeds to the different parts of the pumpkin, our little scientists had so much fun exploring and learning.

Learning is always more fun when you can get your hands right in it!

🎉 JOGATHON UPDATE… THE MOMENT YOU’VE BEEN WAITING FOR! 🎉

KINDERGARTEN IS NOW IN THE LEAD!

But the big question is… WILL THEY STAY ON TOP, OR WILL ANOTHER CLASS SNEAK AHEAD?!
It’s anyone’s game, and we’re still working hard toward our BIG goal of $10,000!

Let’s keep the excitement going with some fun Jogathon reminders! 🎉

👕 Dress down - Wear your PE clothes and make sure to follow the school guidelines in the handbook.

🤪 Wear your CRAZIEST hat 🧢 and/or wackiest socks 🧦

Parents- Come support your runners, join in on the fun, or cheer them on from the sidelines! Your encouragement will make a big difference!

Also- A BIG THANK YOU TO WEIS MARKETS! Thank you for sponsoring our Jogathon and generously donating snacks for our runners to enjoy after the run!

🥪 Since it’s a half day, Don’t forget to order your bagged lunch from Phil & Jerry’s!

🏃‍♀️ JOG-A-THON IS COMING! 🏃‍♂️

Our students are getting ready to RUN, SUPPORT & MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

On Friday, October 16, every lap will count as our students work together to raise money for ECS!
Our school-wide goal is $10,000, which will help support important projects and improvements around our school.

- A new Jungle Gym/playground equipment for our students
- A floor scrubber to help keep our gym floor clean and maintained
…and other important school improvements!

And of course, there are some FUN prizes and incentives along the way! 🎉
When we reach our $10,000 school-wide goal, we’ll celebrate with a ½ day school-wide party!

Want to support one of our students? You can make a flat donation or pledge an amount per lap. Every lap counts, and every donation makes a difference!
