Congrats class of 2026!

This has been a high Sabbath! Here is a small glimpse into what has been a beautiful day here at HVA. The staff and students spent time together this morning for breakfast and prayer. At church, we celebrated Gabi's baptism and were blessed by a moving sermon shared by our very own April Mae Lutz.

Today we’re honoring one of our Class of 2026 seniors. 🎓 Here’s a favorite memory and note of encouragement from one of our staff Ms. Mason,

“River, two things come to mind when I think of you: Chris Pratt and Old Bay Seasoning. I’m not sure which one you love more. I will miss not knowing what Chris Pratt posted on his socials that morning or what crazy new Old Bay-flavored thing you’ve found.”

“You have been an amazing person on campus. I will miss seeing you pace back and forth eating your lunch, you screeching when I say hello to you, and you asking me if something is “too inappropriate” for an assignment. Nap time is something I can never think of in the same way again.”

Brother Mauricio! It’s been great to watch you grow into the young man you have become. I remember you and your brother visiting our school with John Andrews and being welcomed in your home country when I visited Chile with you and your family. And have appreciated your desire for ministry. I have seen God develop a gift of speaking and preaching through you over the years, whether through SWOP or your weekly devotionals. Keep being faithful and serve Jesus in any way you can!

Kani, when you are gone, who will sing all the Disney songs at work? Who will I call to help at a minute’s notice? Who will change their name to Luca? I will honestly miss you and your sweet smile, your weird and a little sarcastic sense of humor. Come back to visit often!

As we start our last week of school, the staff wanted to share a little home-made love with our students with a "Smart Cookie De-Stress Fest." It was a delicious day!
