What a fun day for our Judy Center families at Stoner’s Dairy Farm! Families enjoyed touring the milking parlor and birthing barn, petting the farm animals; especially the baby calf, exploring the play areas, taking a hay ride, and cooling off with some delicious ice cream. 🐄🚜🍦
Experiences like these help children connect learning to the real world through hands-on exploration, while also creating meaningful family memories together. Thank you to Stoner’s Dairy Farm for a wonderful day of fun and learning! 🤩

“I shake my tambourine,
It sings a happy song.
Jingle, jingle, in my hands,
I play all day long.”

“Jingle high and jingle low,
Fast and then so slow.
My tambourine and me have fun,
Wherever we may go.”

On our last Tony Music this school year we learned about tambourines, participated in our own “rock concert” and enjoyed an hour filled with joy and laughter!

A special thanks to Mr Tony Music!!

This week in playgroup, we had so much fun reading Can You Say Moo Moo Too? and playing with language as we explored all kinds of silly and familiar animal sounds! 🐄🐑🐖

Did you know? Imitating sounds and playing with words helps build important early language skills. When children experiment with sounds—like “moo,” “baa,” and “oink”—they’re strengthening their listening, memory, and communication abilities. It’s a simple (and fun!) way to support speech development at home, too!

Our families also enjoyed exploring new farm-themed toys in our family learning stations, sparking imaginative play and lots of great conversations. 🚜🌾

We were especially excited to welcome Dr. Willow and Mrs. Longerbeam from our Central Office, who stopped by one of our playgroups and jumped right in on the fun with our families! 😍

What’s your child’s favorite animal sound right now? 🐾

Today was a sweet time at our Judy Center! 🍰
We enjoyed hearing from Michele of Michele’s Bakery, who shared helpful tips and tricks for decorating cakes. While the adults had some quiet time learning new decorating techniques, our littles had fun playing in the Judy Center. Then everyone came together for the best part—parents and children decorating cupcakes side by side!
Experiences like this support both parent and child learning. Parents gain new skills and ideas they can bring home, while children build confidence, creativity, and strengthen bonds through shared, hands-on activities. It’s a wonderful way to learn and grow together!
A special thank you to Michele for sharing her time and talents with us—we loved learning from you! 💕
We’d also like to thank our WCPS Judy Center staff for coming to Lincolnshire to support this event, and our Lincolnshire staff for helping make it such a fun and memorable experience. We appreciate each of you!

This morning, our Judy Center families enjoyed a fun and hands-on workshop all about how food grows! 🌱
Children explored how pea plants grow, tasted fresh pea shoot leaves, and planted their own seeds to take home and nurture. We also enjoyed a simple, healthy pea snack while talking about how delicious and nutritious vegetables can be!
Experiences like this help little ones build curiosity, try new flavors, and learn where their food comes from—encouraging healthy habits that can last a lifetime.
A big thank you to Ms. Ashlie from the Maryland Food Bank for leading this engaging and educational experience! 😍 A special thank you to Jaelynn for volunteering to help with this event. 💚
What have you tried growing at home with your child? 🌿

Our Judy Center families love JAMMING with Mr. Tony Music 🎶
From clapping hands to dancing feet, our little learners are building so many important skills through music! 🎵 Music helps support early child development by strengthening language skills, improving memory, encouraging movement and coordination, and boosting social-emotional connections.
Plus… it’s just SO much fun to sing, dance, and learn together! 💛
What’s your child’s favorite song right now? 🎤
