Don't forget: Friday (6/5/26) is the last day to register your student for Bester's Summer Learning. You will need to come into the school and complete the packet by the end of the day Friday to secure your spot. No late registrations will be honored!

Friday is Field Day! Please have your students here on time so they can begin the fun right away! Students are encouraged to wear their grade level colors, apply sunscreen at home and bring a water bottle. It is going to be a hot one!

June is here! June is here!

Today we welcomed some special guests to visit our Kindergarten classes as they learned about jobs and careers! These graduates are part of our Reading Apprentice program or our Big Brothers/Big Sisters Mentoring club. These South High students shared about hard work, staying focused and being dedicated in order to achieve their dreams. Way to go Besties! Plus they got to visit some of their past teachers and family members! 🐻

Congratulations Class of 2026! We are proud of you! 🎓 🎉

It's feeling like summer time around here! Are you ready? Join us for some amazing summer programming at Bester! We are teaming up with HARC (Hagerstown Area Religious Council) and Bester Community Of Hope to provide summer program in June and August!

Students will have an opportunity to engage in enrichment clubs, field trips and academic tutoring. Breakfast and lunch is provided and transportation is available upon request. And the best part....it's completely free! 🎉

We can't wait to host all our community partners and local employers on Thursday, May 14th from 5:30-6:30 PM in the gym. Bester staff will keep your students busy while you chat and connect! Please come to the gym door entrance to sign in your student and get started! 🐻 🎉 💚

Join us for a Parent Cafe hosted by Bester Community of Hope on Wednesday, May 13th starting at 8:30 AM. Please enter through the cafe doors. Light refreshments and childcare is provided! Bester Community Of Hope

This week is another busy week of learning and fun at Bester. Mark your calendars and get ready:

✅ MCAP Spirit Week for Math. Let's gear up for more state testing success! Students in grades 3-5 should report to school on time, ready to show off their learning this year. Let's go Besties 🐻

✅ Kindergarten Readiness Night will be on 5/14 at 4:00 PM in the cafe. All Bester PreK Families or eligible students who will be going into Kindergarten in August of 2026 should attend to meet our staff, complete the necessary documents and have some fun!

✅ Our May Family Engagement night is also 5/14 running from 5:30-6:30 PM. Parents and guardians are invited to come meet with local employers, community resources while Bester students enjoy some fun stations outside. Childcare for younger students will also be provided by our Judy Center.
