On the first day of school, Father Jeremy stopped by to visit some of our classrooms and welcome our students back for a new school year. We are so grateful for his prayers, encouragement, and support as we begin another wonderful year at St. Mary’s!

Today marks the first day of school for St. Mary’s Catholic School in Hagerstown, MD!
For 150 years, St. Mary’s has been a pillar of Catholic education, forming children from Pre‑K3 through 8th grade to grow in faith, character, and academic excellence.

Lord, bless our students, teachers, staff, and families as we begin this new school year. Fill our school with Your love, peace, wisdom, and joy. Guide our students as they learn and grow and give our teachers patience and strength. May this year be filled with new opportunities, meaningful friendships, and a deeper love for You and one another. Amen. 🙏

Yesterday our faculty and staff joined Catholic schools from across the Archdiocese of Baltimore at the Church of the Nativity for Convocation. It was a wonderful opportunity to gather in faith, community, and fellowship as we prepare to welcome a new school year. 🙏📚

We can’t wait to welcome our families back for our Back-to-School Meet and Greet tonight, Wednesday, August 26 from 5:00–7:00 p.m.

Families, please park in the Walnut Street lot and enter through the handgate near the Adoration Chapel.

Feel free to bring your school supplies along and drop them off in your child’s classroom or locker. 📚✏️🎒

What a wonderful way to begin our first day back! Yesterday, our faculty and staff gathered at the St. Anthony Shrine for a beautiful day of faith, fellowship, reflection, and renewal. It was a special opportunity to step away, reconnect with one another, and prepare our hearts and minds for the year ahead.

What a blessing to begin a new school year surrounded by such a wonderful faculty and staff! Here’s to a year filled with growth, joy, grace, and countless blessings. We are ready for a wonderful year ahead! 🍎📚🙏❤️✨
