Grace Academy Our mission is to help each student discover their purpose as a lifelong disciple of Jesus Christ, by
providing a quality Christian education.

We are a private, faith-based, non-denominational Christian school located on a beautiful 33-acre campus located one mile from Route 81. Our school serves students from age 3 through grade 12, and we focus on providing our students a personalized education so they may discover their God-given talents through academic, spiritual, athletic and fine arts opportunities. Our caring teachers and coaches are personally invested in your child’s holistic educational experience. Each of our teachers are professing Christians who are held to a standard of Christ-like living and are college-prepared in their areas of expertise. Grace Academy teachers also attend regular professional development workshops and are evaluated annually. Grace Academy also offers a diverse student body. In addition to our diverse domestic student population, our International Student Program on the middle school and high school levels offers a broader perspective of the world. Our domestic students interact with and befriend students from more than 12 other countries, including China, South Korea, Germany and Lithuania. At our school, no child gets lost in large class sizes or standardized testing. Individual students are our focus and equipping young, Christian leaders to serve the Lord is our goal.

Please join us in welcoming Mr. Steven Haines to the Grace Academy family! 🎉

Mr. Haines is joining us as our Interim Athletic Director and Secondary PE Teacher. He brings a wealth of experience, including a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from Waynesburg University, two years as assistant men’s soccer coach at Waynesburg, a year-long teaching internship, and two years as a missionary teacher leading PE in Oaxaca, Mexico!

Mr. Haines was drawn to Grace because he attended a similar private school growing up and benefited greatly from its caring environment. He also has close friends who attended and worked at Grace, so it felt like a natural fit.

Outside of school, you’ll find him playing with his daughter, who is almost a year old! And unlike some of our coffee drinkers, Mr. Haines’s go-to is a lemonade or Sunjoy from Chick-fil-A. In fact, he loves a meal from Chick-fil-A or Chipotle, so now you know how to win him over!

We are so glad to have Mr. Haines with us at Grace!

The 5th grade class has been debating the Articles of Confederation the past couple of days. Along with becoming familiar with the Articles of Confederation, they've also been learning how to have conversations to come to a solution, how to actively listen, stay on topic, and respectfully disagree with their fellow classmates: so many great things to carry them through life!

Way to go, 5th Graders!

Spike. Kick. Fight. 🏐⚽️💜💚

Thank you to everyone who joined us in the Spike Kick Fight Fundraiser to support Mrs. Tara Nunes! Our Grace Academy family has rallied once again, and through your generous donations and participation, we were able to present her with $7000 already last night!

Tomorrow is the day!

Our Spike. Kick. Fight Fundraiser is tomorrow, and we hope you will join us for all the fun!
To kick everything off, students are able to wear their Fundraiser t-shirts with jeans to school tomorrow, and if they do not have a fundraiser t-shirt, they can wear purple & green! Then we have the following home games after school:

Middle School B Team Volleyball at 3:45
Middle School Soccer at 4:00
Middle School A Team Volleyball at 4:45
Varsity Soccer at 5:15
Varsity Volleyball at 6:00

Along with cheering on the Knights to victory, we will have additional festivities for our families, and all proceeds will go to support Mrs. Tara Nunes in her fight with cancer.
We cannot wait to see you there! 💚💜

Help us welcome the newest member of our Elementary Team, Mrs. Stephanie Griffith! 🎉

Mrs. Griffith is joining us as a paraprofessional in Elementary, bringing with her experience as a special education case manager and PE teacher. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Shepherd College and a Master’s in Special Education from Frostburg State University.

Mrs. Griffith felt the Lord guiding her to Grace this school year, and she’s looking forward to getting to know our community and experiencing what it’s like to teach in a private school setting.

A couple of fun facts: her go-to coffee order is a nitro cold brew from Rooster Brew, and outside of school, she’s a bodybuilder!

We are so grateful to have Mrs. Griffith as part of our Grace Academy family!

Last Thursday morning, we had our first Christian Soldiers Club of the school year with performances by our Kindergarten - 5th Grade classes, along with some beautiful piano solos by elementary students.

In celebration of 50 years of Grace Academy, we have the unique opportunity to continue in some traditions like this that have been around since our inception. Just as they have been doing for decades, our students memorized poems and Bible verses and not only recited them in front of their teachers, but in front of a crowd. We are so proud of the hard work these students put in to be prepared, and at just 5 weeks into this new school year!

If you were unable to attend, or would like to re-watch your students, the livestream recording is available on our Youtube channel which can be found at the link in our bio.

SYATP!

This morning we had our rescheduled See You at the Pole time of prayer. Grace students, teachers, staff, and families gathered for a special time of prayer. We broke into 4 groups to pray specifically for Grace, Peace, Justice, and Mercy, not only over the Grace Academy campus, but also in our community. We ended all together thanking God that we can shine the Light in our world around us. Thank you to all who joined in this special time together!
