Children's Village of Washington County, Inc. The mission of Children’s Village of Washington County is to provide quality life-safety education to all second grade students in Washington County, MD.

Children's Village is a non-profit, 501(c) organization. The campus was desiged to create a central location where children, from public, private and home schools, would spend two days learning life-safety skills. Instructors include professional firefighters and police officers. The Children's Village program is a core component of the life-safety curriculum for second-grade students in Washington County,
MD, but the program is not directly funded by the school system.

It's Fireworks Safety Week! As we celebrate the holiday this weekend with friends, food, and fireworks, let’s keep safety at the center. In 2022 alone, fireworks caused over 10,000 injuries and more than 30,000 fires. Nearly a third of those injured were children under 15. Keep your family safe this weekend by heading to to your local firework display and leaving fireworks to the pros. Share these firework safety tips to help spread the word!
