We are pleased to share that Mr. Koontz recently graduated from ACSI’s Leadership U, a year-long leadership development program designed for Christian school leaders. Rooted in a biblical worldview, the program features two in-person sessions, 14 months of mentoring, and a capstone project.

Dan Thornton, Board Chairman, writes, “Mr. Koontz has proven over the last few years that he cares deeply for the Grace Academy community and that his heart for our Lord Jesus and his leadership abilities will be a major part of the future growth of our school. The Board offers its congratulations to Mark for this significant achievement.“

Mr. Koontz notes, “My experience included deep reflection on leadership philosophy, practical training in strategic planning and governance, and significant mentorship that prepared me to lead with excellence, purpose, and faith. I look forward to applying what I’ve learned to strengthen our school’s mission and culture of growth.”

The program offers two tracks:
Head of School Development (for current/new heads of school)
Leadership Development (for leaders in any role)
