🐯 HES Student Drop-Off Etiquette 🐯

Good morning, Hagerstown Elementary families! πŸ’œπŸ’›

We want to help make morning drop-off safe, smooth, and stress-free for everyone! A few friendly reminders:

πŸš— Please stay in the drop-off line. Pull forward as far as possible so we can keep traffic moving.

πŸ›‘ Please do not pass other vehicles in the drop-off line unless directed by a staff member.

πŸ‘‹ Have students ready to exit. Please have backpacks, coats, and other belongings ready before reaching the drop-off area.

🀝 We understand that some students need extra assistance. In some situations, parents may need to get out of their vehicle and help their child exit safely. Please be patient when this happens. Every child has different needs, and our priority is making sure each student gets out of the vehicle safely.

🚢 Students should exit on the school side of the vehicle when possible. Please do not allow students to walk between cars.

πŸ’¨ Once your child has safely exited, please pull forward so the next vehicle can unload.

πŸ“± Please stay attentive while in the drop-off line. We want everyone's focus to be on getting our Tigers safely into the building.

⏰ Remember, students should remain in their vehicles until 8:00 a.m. Staff will be outside to assist with arrival.

Most importantly, please be patient and courteous to one another. We know mornings can be busy, and everyone's goal is the sameβ€”getting our students to school safely and ready to learn!

Thank you for helping us make arrival time safe and efficient for all of our HES Tigers! πŸ―πŸ’œπŸ’›

Safety first. Kindness always.

Hagerstown Tiger Families!
As a reminder, if you are using Circle Drive for morning drop-off, please help us keep our students safe and the line moving smoothly by following these important expectations:
Please drive slowly and cautiously as you enter and travel through Circle Drive.
Pull all the way forward as far as you can before having your child exit the vehicle. This allows us to safely unload as many students as possible.
Please be patient! Many of our students are learning to independently unbuckle themselves from their car seats. This can take a little extra time, but it is an important skill we want to encourage.
Students must remain in their vehicles until 8:00 a.m. For safety reasons, please do not allow students to exit their vehicles before that time.
Please remain attentive and follow the directions of our staff members assisting with morning drop-off.
We appreciate your patience, cooperation, and commitment to keeping all of our Hagerstown Tigers safe. Thank you for helping us make morning arrival safe, smooth, and positive for everyone! πŸ―πŸ’œπŸ’›

Respectfully,
Mrs. Locke
Officer Koons
