May 1, 2026 WCPS will be dismissed 2 hours early.

April 1, 2026 WCPS will release 2 hours early. School will be out until April 7, 2026.

Washington County Public Schools will dismiss students 2 hours early tomorrow, Monday, March 16, 2026. All after-school and evening activities are canceled.

The YMCA will NOT be operating their after-school daycare programs at WCPS school sites.

WCPS is making this decision because we’re seeing some severe weather in the forecast tomorrow afternoon and into the evening. We also hope this early notice will help our families and our schools prepare in advance for a shorter day tomorrow.

Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) will be operating on a two-hour delay today, Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

Remember – breakfast is not served in schools when there is a two-hour delay. Please encourage your child to be ready to learn by eating a healthy breakfast before coming to school!

Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) will be CLOSED today, Monday, February 23, 2026, due to road conditions in the eastern and southern part of the county.

Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) will be operating on a two-hour delay tomorrow – Monday, February 23, 2026.

Transportation staff will reassess roads across the county and monitor the forecast to evaluate whether a closure is necessary. WCPS will share a final decision by 7:00 Monday morning.
