If April showers bring May flowers, then Autumn rains bring gains! 💪🏽🍄✨

Based on other mushrooms in the vicinity, this looks like maybe a parasol (edible) or a false parasol (not edible). A good rule of : when in doubt, leave it out! The best way to determine if this is a true or false Parasol is with a spore print test so it looks like we’ll just have to let them develop and hold off on the lawn mower for another week! HAHAHAHAHA

A quick shout out to all you fall foragers: meet the Poison Pigskin Puffball aka Scleroderma citrinum. This little cutie can easily be mistaken for a truffle or an edible puffball, but you will notice this common earthball does not have an opening in the top, is growing above ground, and has a spongey interior. This false truffle will give you a real upset tummy if you try to make it part of your foraged feast. Stay savvy my friends!🍄❤️
