The Livestock Classic has been an event held at UMass Amherst for almost a century. Traditionally the class has been coordinated b

y the officers of the Animal Science Club with the help and dedication of faculty, volunteers and students participating in the class. This is a fun learning opportunity that provides unmatched valuable hands-on experience with animals. Students have the opportunity to work with the livestock animal of their choice in preparation for the Livestock Classic show, which will test the student’s ability to handle their animal as well as their overall knowledge of their species. This event is also the UMass Pre-Vet and Animal Science's main fundraiser for the whole year. It is open to anyone who wants to come and is free to watch! There will be plenty of good food (not like hamburgers or hot dogs) available all day. Some local farms will also be there selling their products! Some of the activities to come for:
Animal Competition
Professor's Class
a Camel named Joshua
Arts and Crafts room
a small petting zoo
Raffles (with pretty good prizes!)
