Job Title: Part-Time Kennel/Property Technician (15-20hrs/week)
Location: Clarity-Canine; Hadley, PA 16130
About Us:
We are a small, family-owned, husband & wife operation specializing in high level dog training. We have over 20 years of experience in pet training, competitive obedience, and protection-based dog sports. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, welcoming, and low key training environment for our clients.
Job Description:
This role is perfect for someone who loves working with animals, is self-motivated, detail oriented, and wants to expand their knowledge in both dog training & handling. Looking for an individual who also enjoys interacting with the public, is keen on learning & doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty. This position involves caring for both pets and working Belgian Malinois.
Key Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):
• Feeding and caring for dogs
• Bathing/basic grooming of dogs
• Cleaning kennels, crates, play, potty, and training areas
• Supervising, walking, and playing with dogs
• Facility maintenance – mowing, w**d trimming, cleaning
• Transportation - picking up/dropping off client dogs in the Pittsburgh & Ohio Areas
Requirements:
• Valid drivers license & clean driving record
• Animal care/handling/training background
• Ability to work in a physically active environment (lifting, bending, cleaning, etc.)
• Reliability, strong attention to detail
• Ability to work well independently
• Educated and supportive in our training philosophy prior to applying. We are what the industry calls “balanced trainers”, we do use remote collars, pinch collars, slip leads, toys, and food in our programs.
