The special education Haddonfield School District provides was a huge factor in why we chose to settle here. It was a dream come true for us to host the Autism Awareness Expo with the support of Tatem's PTA! My hope is that we can expand our efforts to learn more about our families in town that have different abilities so we can raise more compassionate and understanding citizens!

A big thank you to the Haddonfield Sun who covered the expo and presentations done on Autism Awareness by Nancy Sullivan and myself. We are also parent-leads for the Special Education Parent Advisory Group (SEPAG) and hope to collaborate with families and administration to give our kids the best educational experience possible! It really does take a village!

We were able to get the fantastic team from Key Art Productions to teach our Tatem Tigers about Black history using film and live music! What a memorable performance that left such a positive and uplifting energy in the room!

Did you see all the great stuff Tatem has been up to? The PTA created a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee in 2022 and I was honored to be appointed as chair. One of our events was the first in-person Multicultural Night with event leads Jessica Dennsteadt and Kay Yoon Flannery. Families came in to share about their culture with food and fun activities!
