No meeting this week—but here’s a little Toastmasters Monday! 🎤

So…what exactly is Toastmasters?

Toastmasters is more than practicing speeches. It’s a place to build confidence, strengthen communication skills, practice leadership, and get more comfortable thinking on your feet—all in a supportive environment.

Whether you want to feel more confident speaking in front of a group, become a stronger leader at work, or simply challenge yourself to try something new, Toastmasters gives you a place to practice and grow.

Camden County Toastmasters is taking this Tuesday off, but we’ll be back on Tuesday September 1st! Guests are welcome!

Enjoy the week, and we hope to see you at an upcoming meeting! 🎤

Another great evening at Camden County Toastmasters! We enjoyed three prepared speeches from Gina-Marie Campellone, Gia Hynh, and Pete Sperandino, each contributing to a warm and engaging night of speaking, learning, encouragement, and support as we continue growing together in our communication and leadership journeys.

Members also strengthened their impromptu speaking skills through Table Topics, led by Jo Stante, and Topics of Conversation, led by Wesley Holman, both adding energy and participation throughout the meeting.

Thank you to all members and guests who joined us and made the evening so memorable!

Another engaging evening at Camden County Toastmasters, filled with learning, laughter, and plenty of participation!

Jo Stante served as our Toastmaster for the evening and shared interesting facts about how the Declaration of Independence influenced the U.S. Constitution.

Wendy Coffman brought some fun to the meeting as our Humorist. She got everyone involved with a creative game of “Last One Standing: Summer Edition.”

Clifford Matukonis delivered our prepared speech for the evening, exploring something most of us are given at birth but can’t explain. His interactive approach kept the audience engaged and participating throughout the speech.

We also had plenty of opportunities to practice impromptu speaking, with Tom Schmidt leading Topics of Conversation and Brian Jackson serving as Table Topics Master.

We even learned something new along the way! Pauline Shirley shared the difference between a podium and a lectern: a podium is something you stand on, while a lectern is something you stand behind.

It was a full house this week! Thank you to all of our members and guests who joined us and helped make it such an engaging evening.

This week, Camden County Toastmasters was buzzing with energy as we welcomed a full house of members and guests for another engaging evening of learning and growth.

The meeting began with an inspiring thought from Club President, Clifford Matukonis, who shared Aristotle’s quote:
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”

Cliff encouraged everyone to keep growing by taking on speeches and different meeting roles. Reminding us that growth happens when we step outside our comfort zones.

Our Toastmaster for the evening, Sean Wall, kept the meeting running smoothly while sharing interesting facts about the Declaration of Independence throughout the meeting.

We also enjoyed a thought-provoking prepared speech by Loan Nguyen, “What Am I Running From?” How a race can challenge your beliefs. What do you want to run towards vs running away from?

The evening continued with Topics of Conversation, led by John Hargrave, and Table Topics, led by Michael Ulrich, giving everyone the opportunity to practice thinking on their feet and speaking with confidence.

Congratulations to this week’s winners:
🏆 Topics of Conversation: Chelsea Sanz
🏆 Table Topics: Sean Wall

Our prepared speakers reminded us how diverse every Toastmasters meeting can be. Nicole Wilson, Rose Dominiano, and Nicole Ulrich each shared speeches with their own unique style and perspective, taking us from membership renewal, to unexpected heroes, to the surprising world of sloths.

The evening also gave everyone a chance to think on their feet. Jack Fiedler led an engaging Topics of Conversation about favorite foods, and Sean Wall kept participants on their toes with creative Table Topics.

Congratulations to this week’s winners:
🏆 Best Speaker: Nicole Ulrich
🏆 Best Table Topics: Aaron Johnson
🏆Best Topics of Conversation: Sean Wall
🏆 Best Evaluator: John Hargrave
