Camden County Toastmasters

We help our members become better speakers and leaders. Our club meets on the first, second, and third Tuesdays of every month starting at 7:15 PM.

Come out and visit us! The CCTM Mission: To provide a positive, supportive, and fun learning environment in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth. Camden County Toastmasters History: Chartered in May of 1953, Camden County Toastmasters Club is one of the oldest, largest, and most successful Toastmasters clubs in the world! Our longevity is a testament to the reliable and responsible men and women who serve as our leaders and members. CCTM members are supported by the Toastmasters International Pathways program and our club-based Mentorship program. Such programs have resulted in our club winning numerous awards in its over 60-year history. These include the President's Distinguished Club award which serves as the highest honor a Toastmasters club can achieve in a year. CCTM Meetings: Meetings are held the first three Tuesdays of each month unless otherwise communicated. Our activities are typically held on the first floor of Lutheran Church located at 204 Wayne Avenue in Haddonfield, NJ. Please arrive between 7:00 PM and 7:15 PM, to meet our members and have your questions answered! Our meetings last approximately two hours (7:15 to 9:15). Guests are always welcome!

Another Great Evening at Camden County Toastmasters!

Our latest meeting was filled with inspiration, laughter, learning, and opportunities to grow!

🌟 President Clifford Matukonis kicked things off with a challenge to all members: Bring a guest to our Open House on November 10th! A great opportunity to introduce others to the Toastmasters experience.

🎤 Toastmaster Wes Holman kept the meeting running smoothly while sharing some fascinating and fun facts about pomegranates and the many ways they can be enjoyed!

😄 Humorist Aaron Johnson brought laughter to the room, while Pauline Shirley, delivering our Thought for the Day, gave us something meaningful to reflect on:

“Some people need laws to know right from wrong. Some people need religion to know right from wrong. Some people just know right from wrong.”

🎙️ Prepared Speeches

We had two engaging presentations that encouraged us to think differently!

Shirley Jackson challenged us to consider what might be holding us back from our next opportunity. Sometimes, the biggest obstacle isn’t our experience, knowledge, or ability. It’s something within ourselves that we may not even recognize.

Brian Jackson used the opportunity to practice an upcoming presentation exploring the gap between the value we believe we bring and the value others actually recognize. His message highlighted the importance of understanding the root cause of that gap before trying to change perceptions.

Another great evening of learning, laughter, and connection at Camden County Toastmasters !

Our Toastmaster for the evening, Brian Jackson, kept the meeting running smoothly while challenging us to think about how we turn ideas into action:

Wes Holman, our Humorist, added levity and laughter to the evening, while Jo Stante delivered our Thought for the Day, inspiring us to regret nothing and challenging us to get up and speak!

Shirley Jackson led Table Topics, giving members the opportunity to think on their feet and strengthen their impromptu speaking skills.

We also enjoyed four prepared speeches, each bringing something different to the evening:

🎤 Cliff Matukonis — * Footprints. “Sometimes the Smallest Things Can Change the Direction of Our Lives”*

🎤 Janice Coleman, Distinguished Toastmaster and our guest speaker, shared a snippet of her story and help us to get ready for our next level.

🎤 Pete Sperandino — “Voyage of the Damned” — took us through an incredible history lesson.

🎤 Wendy Coffman — “Bringing the Poles Together” — introduced us to Savers, Squanderers, Squavers, and Savorers in a humorous speech that reminded us to appreciate the best in each of us.
