☀️ The RMS PTA is officially on Summer Break! ☀️

As another amazing school year comes to a close, we'd like to take a moment to reflect on everything we accomplished together during the 2025-2026 school year

Because of the incredible support of our families, staff & volunteers, the RMS PTA was able to:

❤️ Sponsor student events, splash parties, skating nights, book fairs & more
❤️ Provide 952 soft pretzels to students (even some gluten free!)
❤️ Celebrate our teachers & staff throughout the year
❤️ Provide refreshments at 3 dances + 3 end-of-year events

None of this would have been possible without the dedication, generosity & support of our RMS community. Thank you for helping us create memorable experiences for our students and show appreciation for our amazing staff all year long!

The PTA will be taking a short break over the summer and will return as we prepare for the 2026-2027 school year. During this time, responses to emails and messages may be delayed

We hope everyone has a safe, relaxing & fun-filled summer! Thank you for another incredible year. We can't wait to see you in the fall! ❤️🤍

Congratulations RMS Class of 2026! ❤️🎓

As you close this chapter and prepare to begin an exciting new journey in high school, we want to congratulate each and every one of you on all you’ve accomplished during your time at RMS

As you move on to the next adventure, remember to be confident, be kind, work hard & never stop believing in yourselves. The future is bright and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll achieve!

Today is the LAST DAY to submit permission slips for the 8th Grade Splash Party! 🌊

If your student plans to attend, their completed permission slip must be submitted by the end of today (link 🔗 in comments) We cannot accept verbal permission, emails, phone calls or last-minute forms at check-in

⚠️ No Slip = No Entry. NO EXCEPTIONS. ⚠️

To help students prepare for the event:
🍿 The pool snack bar will be open
🍉 The PTA will provide light snacks
❗ There is only one snack bar, and the snacks provided by the PTA are limited, so students should plan for food accordingly

🌦️ We are also keeping a close eye on the weather forecast. The event is currently scheduled as planned and we will notify families immediately if any changes become necessary

Permission slips are due tomorrow June 11 and must be submitted in advance for your student to attend

⚠️ No permission slip = No entry. NO EXCEPTIONS ⚠️

Please take a moment to review the information below before tomorrow's event. We are expecting a large crowd, so students should plan for food accordingly. There is only one snack stand at the pool and wait times may be longer than usual. The PTA will provide a limited selection of light snacks while supplies last

RMS students and families - our 2026 Summer Reading Book, The Miscalculations of Lightning Girl by Stacy McAnulty, is available for purchase in the Media Center!

📖 Cost: $8
📅 On Sale Through: Friday, June 12
📝 Complete the Order Form in the comments to reserve a copy. Cash payment is due by Friday and students will receive their book upon purchase

✏️ Summer Work Reminder:
All students will receive a summer work packet from their ELA teachers this week. The packet is graded, due on the first day of school and will be used for a baseline writing assignment at the beginning of the year.

As we wrap up another incredible school year, the PTA would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our students, families, staff, teachers, administrators & volunteers!! ❤️🤍

Because of your generosity, enthusiasm & support, we were able to provide memorable events, enrichment opportunities, staff appreciation activities, student celebrations & so much more throughout the year! None of it would have been possible without you!

Whether you attended an event, volunteered your time, donated, joined the PTA or simply supported our efforts, you helped make this year a success!!

We are grateful to be part of such an amazing school community & look forward to building on that success in the years ahead!
