A message from former M&M president

Dear M&M Board and peer mentors,
This year I am graduating from Centenary College and stepping down from my position as president. I am proud to announce that our next president will be Amanda Petrovich who will carry on the success of our organization next year.
The last three years at Centenary College, we accomplished so much, more than we ever predicted. We created the very first peer mentoring group specifically to help undecided students to learn what major and minor they can choose from, or for those who already have a major, to seek out an appropriate minor. We are now very well recognized for all of our hard work, thanks to all of you who have given a lot of time and effort to see this group succeed.
Our charities also made a big difference in other peoples’ lives. In our Earth Day fundraisers we raised enough money to donate at least 5 wheelchairs to Free Wheelchair Mission organization and enough school supplies for a small school in Africa with low supply funding.
We grew from just a few people in the beginning to a network of many students. Our organization established good relationships with outside charities, with our student government and with the school’s authorities who gave us their recognition and blessing. With all of that, we are in the best shape we can ever be and will continue to grow to the best we can. Again thank you for all of what you have done and it was a pleasure to work with such an amazing team. Good luck on all of your endeavors and congratulations to those who are graduating this year.

This year we sold bake goods to raise funds to buy school supplies for Sole for Soul. These supplies will be donated to a school in Guatemala with low supply funding. We raised over $150 and was able to buy enough for a small school!

Hey Everyone!!

Hope all of you are having a great semester and enjoying Easter. On April 26 our group will be having another fundraiser in the Earth day festival in the front lawns of Seay building where we will raise funds for school supplies to donate to Soul for Souls. Also on April 28 Professor Linne will be showing a documentary to Criminal Justice students called Patrolmen P which talks about the ethics and life of an officer from 30 years ago to the present. The film was not was not easy to find and our group managed to get a hold of it so for those studying criminal justice, come check it out with professor Linne's class!

Hello Team,

I hope everyone is having a good and productive semester. We are in the process of planning the speed mentoring for this fall. We would like to have it this month on a Wednesday night, preferably on the 23rd which is next week. It should begin between 8:00-8:30. Please let me know if this can work with your schedule as we would like to have as many mentors participate in this event.

Hey everyone!!

On October 10, Gil Shavit will be presenting our group to this year's class of undecided students. We will then coordinate with their professor to schedule a speed mentoring session.
