Be a Judge at the fully remote BCA Research Expo! A VIRTUAL Event !!!!
We are proud to announce that we will be holding our fourth annual BCA Research Expo, a VIRTUAL science fair for the students involved in research at the Bergen County Academies. This is the only avenue to the International Science and Engineering Fair for our students. On Sunday, March 7th and Wednesday, March 17th we will hold the VIRTUAL preliminary and final rounds of competition, respectively. We were hoping you would be able to help us out by acting as a VIRTUAL judge on either, or both, of those dates, as we are feverishly seeking judges from a variety of scientific fields. Please visit the following link to volunteer as a judge https://forms.gle/L8Spg9oNEV4EkiRt5 or visit https://researchexpo.bergen.org/ to register.
Judges are critically important to the success of the BCA Research Expo as they not only help judge the exhibits, but they also interact with the students. Good judging enhances the learning experience and can be very motivational for the young researchers. Judges should have knowledge in their chosen category but will also receive abstracts prior to the event (5-10 abstracts). In 2019, for example, the students selected by our judges earned 1st Place and Best in Category at the International Science and Engineering Fair, where over 1700 students competed from all over the world!
Please send this message to anyone you think might be interested as we need judges in all STEM categories!!!! Recall the event is virtual so you can be anywhere in the world to act as a judge!
