勇敢開口，自信表達！每個孩子的聲音，都值得被聽見。

本課程透過朗誦、聲音訓練、一分鐘演講、即席表達及演講比賽等活動，幫助孩子學習清楚表達想法，提升中文口語能力、舞台儀態與自信心，逐步成為閃閃發光的小小演說家！

佛光西來學校課輔班開學兩週，為促進親師交流，於今日舉辦「家長懇親會」（Back to School Night），邀請家長走進教室，了解孩子在英文及中文課程中的學習與適應情形。📚✨

家長們分別與英文及中文導師交流，了解孩子的課堂表現、課程安排及需要配合的事項。透過面對面的溝通，讓親師之間更加了解彼此，也為孩子打造更完善的學習環境。🤝

2026 BLHLS Summer Field Trip Griffith's Observatory

6月12日，佛光西來學校暑期班65位師生前往 Griffith Observatory 進行戶外教學，展開一場結合科學與人文的學習之旅。師生走入 Samuel Oschin Planetarium，透過沉浸式天文展示，深入了解人類探索宇宙與天體運行的歷程，並觀賞璀璨星空，體會宇宙之浩瀚與奧妙。

課程內容亦探討「水」在太陽系中的分布及其於生命形成中的關鍵角色，引導學生思考生命起源之相關議題。館內展覽涵蓋天文、航空、地質、生物及數理等多元領域，拓展學生跨學科之學習視野。登高遠眺，洛杉磯市景盡收眼底。

此次參訪不僅豐富學生學習經驗，亦啟發其科學探索精神，培養仰望星空、關懷宇宙之宏觀視野。

On June 12, 65 students and faculty members from Buddha’s Light Hsi Lai School Summer Program visited Griffith Observatory for an educational field trip that integrated science and the humanities. During the visit to the Samuel Oschin Planetarium, participants experienced immersive astronomical presentations, gaining a deeper understanding of humanity’s exploration of the universe and the motion of celestial bodies, while appreciating the vastness and beauty of the cosmos.

The program also explored the distribution of water within the solar system and its essential role in the origin of life, encouraging students to reflect on fundamental scientific questions. In addition, the observatory’s diverse exhibits—spanning astronomy, aviation, geology, biology, and mathematics—broadened students’ interdisciplinary perspectives. From the hilltop, students also enjoyed panoramic views of Los Angeles.

This field trip not only enriched students’ academic learning but also inspired their curiosity in science and fostered a broader perspective toward the universe.
