Gypsum Elementary School Gypsum Elementary School is a public elementary school in Gypsum, Colorado serving students in preschool through 5th grade.

Gypsum Elementary School was honored as a TITLE I DISTINGUISHED SCHOOL OF THE YEAR by the Colorado State Board of Education. Gypsum, Colorado is in the Vail Valley, about 35 miles from Vail. Students at GES enjoy fresh mountain air, warm summers, snowy winters, and 2 ski days each ski season through the generosity of Vail Resorts.

We’re excited to share that our Jets have been invited to participate in the annual EVHS Homecoming Parade TODAY!

📅 Wednesday, September 23, 2026
👕 What to wear: GES swag or blue & yellow!
📍 Gathering Area: Vicksburg Land & Black Bear Drive
🕕 Meet: 6:00 PM
🎊 Parade begins: 6:30 PM
🚗 Parking: The best practice is for parents, sponsors, and students to park in the EVHS back parking lot (next to the Gypsum Library) and walk to the staging area.
📍 End Point & Pick-Up: EVHS back parking lot behind the Gypsum Library
🔥 Following the parade, families are welcome to stick around for the Bonfire and PowderPuff Football!

We can’t wait to see our Jets showing their school spirit! ✈️💙💛

The GES Fuel Up Team hosted a Walk/Bike to School event this morning, and we loved seeing so many students, teachers, and families come together!

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the morning such a fun and positive experience for our school community. Events like this are a great reminder that the safety of our students is always a top priority. 💛

Students, teachers, and families are invited to walk or bike to school together as we work toward our goal of moving our bodies for 60 minutes every day! 💪❤️

Once we arrive at school, students can choose to eat breakfast or play outside until the bell rings.
