If everything is special, nothing is special.

If you have so much special stuff that you can’t take good and appropriate care of all your special stuff, that stuff isn’t actually very special.

If you forgot that you even owned that very special thing, it just isn’t that special.

It’s often hard to be really honest with yourself about the reason you should or should not keep something. MANY times, it is an outside influence or pressure or mental conditioning that cause a person to keep the not-actually-special item.

Begin to open your heart and ask “but why?”

The only reason you should keep something is because you actually like the item AND want to continue (or begin) to take GOOD appropriate care of it.

Care takes energy. Care takes time. Care takes attention to detail.

Care is not stuffing it in a box. Care is not piles of dust. Care is not stacking other things on top.

Do you REALLY care about it? Is it ACTUALLY special?

Try adding these filters to the way you perceive the items in your home, especially the items causing clutter and piles.

Can you live with a little less?

I can’t express enough how much I love what I do 💜💜💜
And I think a big part of that is because I was born with the heart of a helper!

I have all kinds of clients, some with various physical disabilities, and I am filled with a sense of purpose knowing that what I am doing is making my client’s lives easier.

Sometimes people just need a helping hand from a person who is compassionate about the reality of life and it’s complications. I care about what I am doing, and who I am doing it for. I love to come into a home and make life there a little easier.

Having your home organized can reduce stress, particularly if you are already being held back by physical limitations.

Truly, having an organized home is for everyone, and if it seems like too much to do on your own, please don’t be afraid to call in a helping hand.

I do this because I love it. It does not wear me out, or stress me out, or sap my energy. To me it is a pleasure, and I find a lot of fulfillment in being able to serve by helping people find peace in their homes.

You don’t have to keep something simply because it exists and it works.

I remember when I first began my own organizing journey, I had a kitchen drawer with well over two hundred ink pens. At that point in my life I had a really hard time letting go of anything from my home.

On my first pass I decided to w**d out the pens that no longer worked. I was able to get rid of a bunch but I still had over 100 pens in my drawer. As I looked through them, I noticed how many of them were promotional ink pens.

I had a turning point moment. The first thing I realized is that I could probably go the rest of my life without needing to buy another pen. The second thing I realized, is that just because I had them and they worked, didn’t mean that I needed to keep all of them. They were taking up a lot of space and I could probably get by just fine with a lot less of them.

I picked out my 10 favorite pens and got rid of the rest of the pile.

It’s been seven years and I was correct about both revelations. I have not needed to buy ink pens, and I have not been without when I needed one.

What every day item do you have in excess at your home? Would it be possible for you to live with less of that item? Would it create a clearer space for you?

Changing the way you think and behave in relation to the objects in your house is not a simple task. It’s easy to find a way to justify keeping it all. But keeping it all means you have to care for it all.

If you are ready for relief from the burden of having so much to watch over in your home, it might be time to do some hard work. I especially love helping people learn a healthier perspective about the things they choose to keep or discard. We all need to learn and practice!

Apparently, butterflies turn into a bag of goo before they emerge looking magnificent. Let me help you get through that gooey changing phase quicker and more effectively so you can reintroduce your home and yourself to the world looking and feeling fresh, and knowing you are a better version of you. It is possible. 🦋

4th of July has always been my favorite holiday, but I’ve had a little something extra to celebrate for the past 5 years 💜🎉

I love what I do! I am so grateful to have found a way to change my life, and the lives of my clients, for the better. The joy and sense of purpose I have because of this is not easily defined, so you’ll have to trust that it’s big enough for me to share, and that’s why I chased down a certification and opened a business! I’m still proud!

Let’s do a little philosophy and math, shall we?

Time is our greatest commodity. It is the thing we all want more of, but more isn’t *exactly* what we are after. We are after using our time well, and to have the ability to use our time in the way that we choose, would you agree?

Do you feel like you spend loads of time picking up in your home? Does the amount of work that needs to be done to get your house “looking right” seem overwhelming before you even begin?

The simple math is that having a lot of stuff = spending a lot of your time to care for that stuff.

If being a “stuff manager” isn’t the job for you, you will need to consider having less stuff(subtraction!) in order to have more time(addition!) to enrich your life in an way that is meaningful to you.

If it seems like too much to achieve on your own, I’m here and I can help you and encourage you and guide you along as you figure out how to use your time in a way that is more to your liking.

What if you had less stuff to care for?

I am not talking about minimalism. I really prefer to call it “lessism.”

You will not ever find me telling my clients a particular amount that they “should” have, or get rid of, in their home.

You WILL find me asking a lot of questions, doing my best to guide my clients towards their own conclusions on what is right for them and their home and their future.

But what happens when someone has less stuff?

Well, very often they learn they have a lot more:
-Time on their hands
-Peace of mind
-Ease when caring for what is left
-Confidence searching for an item
-JOY knowing they did a good thing
-Comfort in a calm home

I’m all about lessism, because of how much more I get from living this way. Won’t you join me?

Before I learned how to organize my home, I just wanted to go outside.

I wanted to leave the inside space that made me feel insufficient as a wife/mother/human.

I wanted to ignore all the stuff laying everywhere.

I wanted to avoid the huge amount of work that needed to be done.

I wanted to escape the responsibility of keeping and caring for so much stuff.

I wanted to go out and away from my house and feel the relief of pretending I didn’t remember what I left in it.

I wanted to light a match and start fresh.

It was pretty dang intense! But I don’t feel that anymore.. so what changed?

I discovered it doesn’t have to be so complicated. My relationship with my things doesn’t have to include overwhelm, chaos, anxiety, guilt, confusion, shame, and a need to escape.

💜 It can look more like gratitude, joy, relief, confidence, a clear vision, and building support and structure for myself right into my day 💜

I changed my attitude on the approach, and I found an order to work through my things that helped reinforce my new perspective. It all came together to make a new and improved version of me. It caused me to bloom 🌸
And now I go outside for all the right reasons 😍

Are you ready to change the way you interact with your house? How would it feel if you could drop all those negative emotions?

Let me help you bloom! Reach out today so we can schedule your FREE 30 minute organizing consultation.

Tidying is a skill that you need to know! Maybe you think it isn’t that important, but here are some of the very real benefits of getting your home into order:

•It makes it feel like you live in a boutique store. Shop your own beautiful, orderly closet first thing in the morning, and have a great day. Walk around your home of carefully chosen possessions, lovingly selected by you for you! You are happy about every item you see!

•It saves time. You don’t wander around aimlessly digging through piles looking for that thing you know you have around here somewhere, AND you don’t have such an enormous amount of items to care for.

•It reduces anxiety. You don’t have to look at piles of things you should be putting back where they belong, because there aren’t piles anymore.

•It clears your mind. You find your home is more like a supportive place of rest for you when it is in order.

•It builds your confidence. When you have an effective routine of caring for your home, it’s no problem to invite guests over spontaneously.

•It is soothing. No visual disarray, you know exactly what to expect when you come in the door each day. Find yourself more relaxed in your space.

If you want to learn this skill, if you want your home to feel calm and supportive, I would love to teach you how to make it happen.

Reach out today for a free 30 minute consultation. Let’s talk about how we can make your house better!

If no one ever taught you how to get your home into order, decluttered, and feeling calm, why SHOULD you know how to do it?

What other life skill has ever come to you spontaneously, without effort, trying, and practice?

Yes, for some people(very few!) this does comes naturally. They were born that way and they do not understand those of us that need to be taught “how to.” Hopefully they can forgive us for needing a little extra learning on the subject.

I needed to be taught that there is a specific order to work in. I needed to learn a healthier way to relate to the items I owned. I needed to learn how to take control of my house, instead of allowing my house to control me.

These are all things I love teaching to my clients. It never gets old to watch the transformation from confusion into clarity. From overwhelm into relief. From not knowing where to start, into “I’ve GOT this.”

It is knowledge and understanding I would love to share with you. I just need you to give me the opportunity. What is holding you back?

I’m offering 30 minutes of my time(for free!) so you can ask me all your burning questions about getting organized, decluttered, tidied up, and keeping it that way for good. Reach out today and we’ll get your free consultation on the calendar.
