🎉🌎 Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at Meliora! 🌎🎉

Today, our Meliora community came together to celebrate the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities! 💛💙

We are especially grateful to our parents who planned and brought today’s meaningful celebration to life by sharing their cultures, traditions, stories, and experiences with our learners. Our learners had the opportunity to learn about the cultures represented within our own Meliora community, explore the stories and contributions of influential Hispanic and Latino leaders, color sugar skulls, enjoy music, and celebrate together. 🎶🎨🌎

One of the best parts of building a school community is creating opportunities for our learners to see themselves, learn from one another, and celebrate the cultures that make our community special.

Thank you to every parent who helped us learn, celebrate, and make today possible! ❤️

🧠🏆 OUR FIRST MELIORA MIND MATCH IS IN THE BOOKS! 🏆🧠

At Meliora, we believe learning should be something learners get to show off, celebrate, and compete with.

Each month, our learners will compete in the Meliora Mind Match — an academic competition where they represent their Houses, answer questions based on what they’re actually learning in class, and earn House points along the way! 🏠⚡

Every correct answer matters. Every point counts. And the winning House gets some serious bragging rights. 👀

Our VERY FIRST Mind Match was so close that it came down to a TIEBREAKER QUESTION. 😱🧠

And when the final answer was in…

🏆 CREADOR TOOK HOME THE TROPHY AND THE HOUSE POINTS! 🐙💚

The House of creativity and innovation has officially set the bar — but Mana, Jamii, and Phronesis are already coming for that trophy next month. 👀

And a HUGE shoutout to Mr. Arrington for bringing the Meliora Mind Match to life! 🙌🏾🧠 Thank you for creating another way for our learners to celebrate what they know, represent their Houses, and make learning FUN.

Academic competition. House pride. Teamwork. A little friendly rivalry. And a whole lot of learning.

This is how we do school differently at Meliora. ✨

Happy Birthday, Ms. Walker. We appreciate you so much and hope you feel celebrated today!

Drop Ms. Walker some birthday love in the comments!
