The countdown to a new school year is on! Our halls are coming back to life, and we can’t wait to welcome our students back to Charter Oak Elementary!

A huge THANK YOU to Mr. Chris and Ms. Iris, our amazing custodians, who have been working tirelessly all summer to get our building looking its very best. We are so grateful for everything they do to make Charter Oak a place our students love to learn and grow.

As a reminder, if you haven’t enrolled your child for the 2026-2027 school year yet, please complete enrollment as soon as possible. Enrolling now helps us finalize class placements so your child will have a teacher assignment ready for Meet the Teacher.

Congratulations to our Charter Oak Staff Members of the Month, Veronica Cruz and Stacy Angeles!

Veronica Cruz, Special Education Paraprofessional, is a compassionate, dependable, and steady presence at Charter Oak Elementary who consistently goes above and beyond to support students and staff. She recently volunteered to join the Diabetes Management Team and quickly completed the Oklahoma State Department of Education Volunteer Diabetes Management Training. Veronica approaches every responsibility with professionalism, care, and confidence while ensuring those she serves are always treated with dignity and kindness. She willingly steps in wherever needed, maintains a positive attitude, and builds strong relationships across our building, making her an essential part of the Charter Oak family.

Stacy Angeles, ELL Teacher, has made an immediate and meaningful impact at Charter Oak Elementary through her dedication, hard work, and unwavering support of students and staff. She has worked tirelessly preparing third and fourth grade students for the OSTP state assessments, helping build both skills and confidence while showing genuine care for every student she serves. Stacy has also spent countless hours proctoring small group OSTP testing day after day with professionalism and a positive attitude, always willing to help wherever needed without complaint. Her commitment, supportive spirit, and willingness to serve others make Charter Oak a better place for both students and staff.
