Today was library day (my very favorite day)! It was also the first day of student-led book talks!

Before we went to the library, I asked my students if anyone had a book they finished and loved AND were planning to return today. Across my 6 classes, these were the books that were shared.

As a bonus that made my teacher hear oh-so-very happy, 3 of them were immediately checked out by another student in that class. Another student found a similar book by one of the talked-up authors. And another student found the next book in the series was checked out, so he crawled along the shelf trying to find something similar, but also adding another 6 books to his to-read list in his journal!

It was a big reading win day!!!!

July was a good reading month! I thoroughly enjoyed all of these! I actually could have said more than 5, so it was fun to decide which ones really stood out!

If you are looking for some great books to round out your summer, these should jump to the top of your list!

Don't Cross the Blue Line by Susan May Warren Fiction ~ Book 2 in this closed-door hockey series. I love that this one added a bit of danger and suspense.

Beauty and the Beach by Gracie Ruth Mitchell ~ This whole series is a favorite and excellent for the summer! This particular book makes me want to go read her entire backlist!

Love & Lidocaine by 𝑲𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒓𝒂 𝑯𝒐𝒑𝒆 κ•€ π‘ͺ𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒅-𝒅𝒐𝒐𝒓 𝑨𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒓 ~ I really enjoyed her debut into romcom. I'm super excited about her next one that releases in October.

Faking Christmas by Cindy Steel ~ Ok, seriously. Cindy Steel is amazing! And this one had allll the Christmas vibes and a perfect fake dating at the lodge setting. Part of a multi-author collab series.

Evergreen Conservatory by Heather Schneider Author πŸ“š ~ If you are craving the nostalgia of Harry Potter or Twilight, this trilogy could be for you! This is boom 2 in the Society of Magical Botanists, and those treehouse classrooms could not be any more delightful!

Welcome to my newest series! I'm organizing my entire Kindle library, reviewing every book I've read, deleting the ones that aren't for me because of spice or content, and building the ultimate clean-reader TBR.

First step... rapid fire deletion! Stay tuned!

Hope has reached her limit working in her father's dental office. Between the toxic and abusive boss and the chaos of the office, she takes matters into her own hands. She runs and finds herself in a mountain town... with a rather swoony dentist. Can he prove to her that all dentists aren't the same?

This book was delightful. The anxiety was handled well, and the discussion of therapy was healthy. The Spanish nicknames were just perfect. This book is on the longer side, but it was still a rather quick read. It flowed well and was easy to get lost in the story.

This was a perfect contemporary romance debut from 𝑲𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒓𝒂 𝑯𝒐𝒑𝒆 κ•€ π‘ͺ𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒅-𝒅𝒐𝒐𝒓 𝑨𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒓!

Find Me in the Lyrics
Jonathon Island Season 2: Book 4

I really do love this series.Β  This one was a very slow burn with a beautiful ending.Β  I loved the character growth, and the emphasis on worship music.Β  I especially loved the conversation about the difference between Christian music and genuine worship music.

This beautiful story is out now and available in KU!

Thank you and for the ARC!

I LOVE spring! I know that so many people dislike it with the weather, allergies, and all that. But I love it. I love the warmer weather, the new blooms, the rainy days, stormy nights. It's all about freshness and resetting after the cold winter.

And springtime cozy mysteries are no exception! I love that cozies prove that mysteries are great all year round! There is a cozy mystery to fit every season, mood, hobby, and interest!
