On Monday, August 17th, Senior Monica Lavender enlisted in the Oklahoma Army National Guard as Multiple Launch Rocket System crewmember (13M). Monica will attend Basic Combat Training (BCT) in June and attend her Advanced Individual Training immediately afterward.
Upon completion of her training, she plans to attend the University of Central Oklahoma and pursue her degree in Engineering and her commission as an Army Officer through the Army ROTC program. The 89er Battalion wishes her luck, we are thrilled to have had the opportunity to call her a part of our battalion. We are proud of Monica's continued growth, and we look forward to seeing where she goes.

Guthrie High School Parking Lot
Closures & New Entry Instructions (July 10 – August 1)

A major parking lot resurfacing project begins tomorrow, Friday, July 10th.
What is closed: The main high school parking lot, the north parking lot, and both the north and south entrances/exits off Wentz/Hwy 77.

Where to park: Parking is strictly limited to the east side of the high school (bus parking area). This applies to all staff, parents, and students.

How to get here: All vehicles must access the campus using Walnut Street.

Building entrance: Everyone needing access to the high school must enter through DOOR #10, which is the door between the cafeteria and the outback.

This project is scheduled to run through August 1st. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we upgrade our facilities.

Attention Seniors! Do you want to earn your college degree? Do you want to serve your country?

The Air Force ROTC Scholarship application window is open. The scholarship pay amount varies on the type of scholarship awarded. Scholarship can be converted to room & board in lieu of tuition and include a book allowance, and a monthly stipend. Upon successful completion of your bachelor’s degree and ROTC training, you will commission a 2d Lieutenant in the United States Air Force.
