Since 1989, Teen Mother Choices has had the privilege of assisting over 60 organizations around the globe serve teen moms and their children! On Monday, August 31, 2026, our last licensee continues their services under the name of NE Ohio.

We’re thrilled beyond words to be invited by Community Purse to share all that’s happening within Teen Mother Choices on August 12th!

Join us for the next Community Purse Northern Illinois Chapter meeting on Tuesday, August 12!

This quarter, we'll gather in our new meeting location as we hear from three incredible local nonprofits sharing their missions, the impact they're making in our communities, and how a Community Purse grant could help further their work.

This quarter's featured organizations are:
• Teen Mother Choices
• Let It Be Us
• Pioneer Center for Human Services / PADS

We'll also hear an update from our previous grant recipient, Hope For Courage.

Guests are always welcome! If you'd like to vote for this quarter's grant recipient, simply complete a commitment form before or at the beginning of the meeting and be present for the presentations.

Join us early at 6:30 PM for complimentary refreshments and conversation. If you'd like to have dinner beforehand, Jimmy's Charhouse offers a full menu and is open before the meeting.

We're saddened to share that Kathy Goles, our Community Connections Director, will be stepping away from her role with Teen Mother Choices today, July 15, 2026, as she begins an exciting new position at Warren Township High School in Gurnee, Illinois. While we will certainly miss Kathy's faithful leadership and heart for serving young moms and strengthening our community, we're thankful she has graciously offered to continue assisting with community events on a limited basis. We praise God for Kathy's dedication, friendship, and the many ways He has used her to advance the mission of Teen Mother Choices, and we pray for His abundant blessings as she begins this new chapter.

TMC is excited to announce our partnership with Warren-Newport Public Library in Gurnee, Illinois which will give us an opportunity to share about our resources!

Over the next several months, TMC will host an info table at the library, answering questions about how we serve young moms in the community.

Come visit us this Thursday July 9th from 10am-noon for our 1st session!

At Teen Mother Choices, success isn't measured by a single milestone. It's measured by generations.

When a young mom is empowered, encouraged, and equipped, the impact reaches far beyond her. It shapes her children, strengthens families, and creates a legacy that can last for generations.

This is why we do what we do.

One of our moms recently shared this beautiful testimony. Her words remind us that investing in a young mom is also investing in her child's future.

"I know I’m a little late sharing this, but I don’t post very often, and this was a moment I wanted to share with my family and friends.

Earlier this month, my son graduated from DePaul University, and my heart is so full. Watching him reach this milestone was one of the proudest moments of my life.

As a single parent, our journey hasn’t always been easy. There were challenges, sacrifices, and moments that tested us, but we kept moving forward together. Looking back, every obstacle was worth it to see him become the kind, resilient, and determined young man he is today.

While I carried the role of being a single parent, we were never alone. We have been incredibly blessed with the love, guidance, and encouragement of amazing grandparents, my incredible mentor Kim and Hank and my amazing family, and friends who believed in him, supported him, and helped shape the person he has become. It truly takes a village, and I will always be grateful for everyone who has been part of our journey. Thank you also TMC (Christa) for giving us the tools to succeed.

To my son, I hope you always know how proud I am of you. Watching you walk across that stage was a reminder of how far you’ve come and how bright your future is. Keep believing in yourself, stay true to who you are, and never stop chasing your dreams.

Thank you to everyone who has celebrated, encouraged, prayed for, and supported us over the years. This milestone belongs not only to my son, but to everyone who walked alongside us.

Congratulations, my son. I love you more than words can ever express, and I can’t wait to see what your next chapter holds. ❤️🎓"
