🍂 Did someone say the first day of September is TOMORROW?! 🍂

You know what that means… MUM SEASON is here! 🌼🍁

And if you need mums this fall, GMS Greenhouse has you covered!

Check out these JUMBO 3.5-gallon mums, grown right here at GMS by our students! ❤️🤍 We’ll have both single-color and beautiful tricolor mums available this season.

Our Fonti mums are already starting to show color, and we can’t wait to watch these beauties come into full bloom!

Congratulations to our 2026–27 GMS Greenhouse Management Team! 🌱

We are excited to announce this year’s student leaders who will help guide the GMS Greenhouse program. These students will take on real responsibilities in leadership, production, marketing, finances, and community outreach while helping our program continue to grow.

Greenhouse Manager: Mack McCormack
Assistant Managers: Setta Willis & Joe McCurdy
Marketing Director: Livie Smith
Assistant Marketing Director: Lexi Martin
Chief Financial Officer: Hudson Epperson

Community Relations Committee:
McKinley Conner, Bella Gannon, Drake Joyner & Will Bodine

We are proud of each of these students for stepping up and accepting the challenge to lead. Our greenhouse is about much more than growing plants — it’s about building leadership, responsibility, teamwork, and connections with our community.

We’re looking forward to a great year with this crew!

🌼 How about a Saturday morning mum update! 🌼

These guys are putting on some serious size and should only be a few weeks away from budding! We’re excited to watch them start showing off their fall color. 🍂

And you know what mums mean… pumpkin season is right around the corner! 🎃

Make sure you remember GMS Agriscience for your fall decorating needs—student-grown mums, pumpkins, and plenty of fall favorites!

📅 Our 2nd Annual Pumpkin Sale opens Friday, September 18!

Every purchase supports our students and helps us continue growing our Agriscience program. We can’t wait to see our community back at GMS this fall! ❤️🌱🎃

🌿 It has started at GMS! 🌿

The GMS Greenhouse is coming back to life! Over 9,500 plugs of ferns, pansies, violas, and snapdragons are being planted today and tomorrow by our Agriscience students. 🌱💪

What makes it even more special is that a portion of our pansies and violas will be used by the City of Guntersville Horticulture Department throughout our town! ❤️

There’s something pretty special about our students growing plants that will help beautify the community they call home.

🌽 Hands-On Learning in Agriscience! 🌽

Mr. Morgan’s Ag classes learned all about corn pollination today—from the tassel and pollen to the silks and how each individual kernel is formed. And what better way to learn agriculture than to get hands-on with it!

Of course, we couldn’t talk about sweet corn without doing a little taste testing! 😋 Students got to enjoy some fresh Obsession bicolor sweet corn, grown right here locally at Morgan Farms.

There’s just something different about learning where your food comes from, understanding the science behind how it grows, and then getting to taste the finished product!

We are so excited to have been apart of this amazing project! Big things coming this year from GMS AG!

🌱 2nd Period Ag Students Getting It Done! 🌱

Our Agriscience students have the greenhouse cleaned, organized, and ready for our next round of plants!

🍂 Arriving next week:
🌸 Pansies
🌸 Violas
🌸 Snapdragons
🌿 Fern plugs

And we’re already looking ahead to SPRING! This year, we’ll have our popular Boston and Macho ferns, but we’re also adding something NEW — Sword Ferns! ☀️🌿

Sword ferns give us a great full-sun fern option, and we’re excited to add them to our lineup.

There’s never much downtime in the GMS Greenhouse — one crop moves out and the next one moves in! Proud of these students for taking ownership of their greenhouse and getting everything ready for another growing season.

Student Grown. GMS Proud. ❤️🌱
