Snead State students are putting their additive manufacturing skills to work by 3D printing prosthetic components that will be shipped to Peru! 🌎

Through our partnership with SKY’s Life Changer Prosthetics program, these students have already exceeded their original production goals! 👏

What an incredible example of how the skills students learn at Snead can make a difference far beyond the classroom.

Students from Snead HVAC Program are practicing first stage copper brazing. 🔥🔧 The students start with HVAC spec copper tubing and use swaging tools and tubing benders 🛠️ to create projects that are then brazed together using real world brazing torches and brazing rods 🔥 as they would in the field. 👷‍♂️💪

From here they will move on to more advanced brazing practices and projects. 🔧🔥 Their final includes a project that was used in past Alabama SkillsUSA Competitions. 🏆💙💛

A day of high-flying opportunities! ✈️ Sardis High seniors toured Aviation Service Partners at the Albertville Airport today to learn more about Snead State Aviation College, career opportunities as aviation mechanics, and ASP, and the Snead State Workforce & Career Institute to explore hands-on careers and future possibilities. 💙

🎓 Sardis Seniors Visit Snead State! 💙💛

We enjoyed welcoming Sardis High School seniors to the Snead State Workforce & Career Institute for a firsthand look at the training and career opportunities available right here in our community!

Dr. Greg Randall gave students a tour of the facility, introducing them to our programs, equipment, and the many pathways that can take them from the classroom directly into high-demand careers.
