📸 Gunter High School Yearbook Picture Day

Gunter High School students in 9th–11th grade will have their yearbook photos taken on:

Monday, October 5

Garner Studio will be on campus for picture day.

There will be no picture pre-order. Once photos are posted, families will receive an email at the address on file with a link and passcode to view and purchase photos.

From September 15th through October 15th it is Hispanic Heritage Month. It is odd that we start recognition in the middle of a month, but the correlation is: a few Latin American countries celebrate their independence on September 15th. President Lyndon B. Johnson first recognized Hispanic Heritage for a week. Later, President Ronald Reagan would dedicate a full month. Students were asked to choose a person to research and write about the important contributions, achievements, and their heritage. Each of these individuals has had an impact on the Hispanic community one way or another. Here are a few projects from Ms. Mercado's students!

🚗 Drop-Off & Pick-Up:
✅ Enter using the Tiger Lane entrance.
✅ Continue to the entrance closest to the building to safely drop off or pick up your student.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and partnership. Your help keeps traffic flowing safely and efficiently for everyone.

📣 Reminder, Juniors & Sophomores!

Tomorrow, Thursday, July 30, is Schedule & Chromebook Pick-Up!

🕙 Pick-Up Times:
• 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
• 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

After picking up your schedule, please proceed to the Technology Department (Room 4) to receive your assigned Chromebook and charger for the 2026–2027 school year.

💻 Chromebook Insurance
If you'd like to purchase Chromebook insurance, please bring $25 (cash or check). The fee is waived for students with an approved Free & Reduced-Price Meal application.

➗ Graphing Calculators Needed! 📈

Students enrolled in Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus, or Calculus are required to have a graphing calculator for class.

💙Need to borrow one?
The Gunter High School Library has graphing calculators available for students to check out for the school year while supplies last.
If your student needs a calculator, they can stop by the high school library to borrow one once classes get started!

Senior Schedule Pick-Up is just a couple of days away! We can't wait to welcome the Class of 2027 back to campus on Wednesday, July 29, from 12:00–4:00 PM.

📢 New this year: Seniors will receive their assigned Chromebook and charger during Schedule Pick-Up. After picking up their schedule, students should proceed to the Technology Room (Room 4) to receive their device for the 2026–27 school year.
We look forward to seeing everyone and starting another great school year!
