Our elementary amd middle Literature classes are working on creating our own books!! Students have written a story line, created characters, selected the setting, and now we’re working on editing and illustrations. 📖

Students presented their Thanksgiving celebration projects and we have a winner!!🏆
Team 3 will be leading the planning of our feast.

🎉 Theme: “Around the World”

🍱 Menu: traditional thanksgiving dishes from four different countries-buffet style

🍂 Decorations: flags from each country used as placemats for that dish

🎶 Entertainment: playing music from each country

We’re so proud of the thought and creativity of each team! We had some amazing ideas!! (Maybe we’ll plan multiple celebrations just to enjoy the all 😜)

Community Day project: Planning our Thanksgiving Celebration!

🦃 Students are assigned to teams and must plan a celebration with their own:
🎉 theme,
🍱 menu,
🍂 decorations,
💵 budget, and
🎶 entertainment.

🌾 Each team will present their idea to the class and we’ll vote on how they choose to celebrate!

📚 October is Dyslexia Awareness Month 📚
We are so grateful for the dyslexia therapists here at GCES that work each day to give individualized instruction, patience, and encouragement to our students 😍
